Trying to figure out how and where to post hikes. Sorry, using this as a test post. Won't feel bad if web master deletes it. Anyway, this is a 3.3 mile (6.6 round trip) day hike with a 1,500 foot elevation gain. The last half mile or so to the lake welcomes you by leveling off and showing off a 200 degree view of the Flathead Valley here in NW Montana. Strawberry Lake would also be a great over nighter for a first time hike.

Wish I cuold figure out how to put images in posts...anyone?

Your link takes you to a full-screen display of google maps- how do you get it to do that?

Went to Glacier and the surrounding area fishing back in 94' & 95'only did a short day hike in GNP but always wanted to get back for more.

Im with gonzan, how you do dat? I tried once to get a google map to post but wouldnt work. Not surprising for me, Im not to computer savy

I used the "My Tracks" app from google on my droid cell phone, inserted a way point at each switchback, then just followed the prompts for sharing my track.  Fairly accurate, easy to use, fun.
