Evernew Ti DX Set With Stove

rated 4 of 5 stars This is a lightweight stove, the burner comes to bloom quickly and it burns hotter than a Trangia stove. For boiling water, the burner is probably one of the best alcohol burners available. The stove is relatively light, very packable and sets up easy.  There is what appears to be fiberglass on the inside of the titanium burner (you can see it through the seep holes) that allows the burner to come to bloom quickly. The design of it is kind of neat.  It has two sets of jetting holes, at the top… Full review

Turm Sport Stove

rated 5 of 5 stars I bought this stove used from a friend in 1971. He bought a brass Svea gas stove. I would usually have finished my meal (usually just a matter of boiling water) before he got the Svea lit. It seems to take no time to boil a half liter of water. I have used this long discontinued little stove on many backpacking, hiking, and hunting trips, as well as just boiling water for coffee at my picnic table at home over the years without any difficulties. I took these pictures today and I think the generator… Full review

Trangia 25-8 UL/HA

rated 4 of 5 stars Lightweight, packable enough to take even when you won't use it. I am a volunteer for an international boys group ages 11-18. I mention that because while I am doing this review based on my PERSONAL experience, I want you to understand the context of that experience. I camp a bunch. I camp with youth. While that means that I try to help each boy to become more self-reliant, it also means that I am ultimately responsible to ensure dry, warm, fed youths. Over the years that I have been doing this… Full review

Trangia Mini Trangia

rated 3 of 5 stars Great size for solo hiker and is nice and light but it doesn't cope very well even with a moderate breeze, which means crazy fuel high consumption. A windscreen is essential for this stove else you will have burned all your fuel and still have to eat a cold dinner!! Full review

Esbit Alcohol Stove & Trekking Cookset CS985HA

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Packs small and is lightweight. This stove is perfect for one person on a backpacking trek. I use it regularly. I prefer the fuel tablets as they don't go bad, are reliable, and the only thing you need to carry out is the wrapper. Great product. I love Esbit products. This stove is no different. I like how it nests inside itself very easily. I don't have to try it one way and then try it a different way to get it to fit. It's quick and simple. For backpacking, I prefer to use the fuel tabs as they… Full review

Trangia Mini Trangia

rated 5 of 5 stars It's perfect for boiling noodles on short solo trips. Core stove design has been available since 1958: it's well-proven. Limited pot capacity rules out serious two-person cooking. High fuel consumption rules out longer trips. Is wonderfully lightweight, entirely reliable, and unbreakable with zero maintenance. The various forms of alcohol are widely available. Wind raises fuel consumption dramatically. Not usable inside a tent and/or severe cold. Full review

Toaks Titanium Siphon Alcohol Stove

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Very lightweight and small (about 4 cm high) and 44 grams (that's the weight of the stove and the steel mesh pot stand). This photo shows the actual weight of the Toaks stove and the other photo shows the stove with a 10 cm windscreen and the Toaks storage bag. So the Toaks stove is 44 grams with steel pot stand and storage bag, put a 10 cm windscreen and the total weight is 70 grams. The pot I did my first boil test with was a 400 mil titanium mug/pot with lid. I filled it with 350 mil of cold… Full review

Vargo Triad

rated 4.5 of 5 stars $30 for a compact titanium (durable) alcohol stove (lightweight system) with folding leg anchors and pot stand! I have compared this to a lot of cooking systems and this is my favorite. I am a mechanical engineer and I have literally made hundreds of soda can stoves trying to perfect the design for durability, size, and fuel usage. I love them, but this is my "go-to" stove while hiking. I love to have three legs that I can anchor into the soil and I love having the integrated pot stand. I have had… Full review

Esbit Alchohol Burner

rated 5 of 5 stars This super lightweight burner is the perfect companion to the stove and has an amazing blend of great features that make it easy to pack, easy to use, and easy to recommend. **I bought the full stove kit that includes the alcohol burner listed above. So this review is for the entire set, that includes the burner.** I did a lot of research before settling on this stove. I know many, many folks go for the "cat food can" version or "soda can" version. This is a more modern approach/pre-fab version… Full review
