We wanted a waterproof, lightweight (but durable) tent that is easy for kids to set up, but not so costly that I would be afraid for kids to set up. We needed adequate vestibules for muddy boots. We found all that we needed with this high quality tent.

Our first trip out was with a group of friends, and it rained buckets, even for the Pacific Northwest! Some of our friends' tents leaked so badly that they threw them away at the park, never wanting to see them again. Our Orion 4, however, had no rain inside at all. The rainfly held up in the worst 24 hours of rain I have ever seen. (mild wind, can't comment on wind resistance)

The tent does not come with ropes for the rainfly's sides, you will need 2 pieces of 3 ft rope and stakes for those so the rainfly stays off the tent. There are loops, just no rope or stakes. After adding those ropes, the fly had no contact with the tent.
