"This jacket is excellent all around. Similar to the Gamma MX in design, the Alpha Comp is for warmer weather, or higher activity levels. The shoulders and arms and lower part is XCR Gore-tex, while the chest and back is Schoeller fabric. This keeps important areas like kidneys dry and protected from the wind while letting heat escape from the back (very important when wearing a pack)."
