After auditioning other packs, this one stands out for attention to detail, quality of build, and functionality! I was looking for a good snow/ice pack for S&R, and this one exceeded my expectations. Lots of thought went into this like the integral insulated pad (for sitting on cold surfaces), the snow shovel pocket, the long zip pulls (good for gloved hands grip), the probe/pole pocket, etc. I also love all the myriad of internal pockets that help keep you organized. there's a hydration bladder pocket as well.

It's a great fit on the back too. This is a fully adjustable pack, with compression straps to keep the contents tight to your body, while the quick release buckles allow fast access when needed.

This pack just suits all of my needs, with good space for packing clothes when you layer up and down depending on exertion level in the cold. It could be a weekender with not much of a stretch.

It's made of sturdy material with Arc'teryx famous waterproof zips. I have NO complaints.
