Wicking Cambrelle® nylon linings absorb excess sweat and disperse it quickly for faster evaporation, keeping feet drier and more comfortable. Anatomically shaped removable footbeds provide additional padding to polyurethane midsoles. DuoAsoflex midsole supports control flex, protect feet from rough terrain and support feet properly under moderate loads. Gusseted, padded tongue keeps out debris and softens lace pressure; rustproof hardware offers dependable service, while heel loops aid entry and exit. Asolo Synchro rubber outsoles deliver positive traction on rough trails with Asobrake heels for stability on descents."

"I purchased the Echo for Arizona hiking and bouldering because they are non-GoreTex. My feet sweat A LOT but I found the Echo more tolerable than my recent "buy and return purchases" from Lowa, REI and several other major boot makers.

The Echo has a good sole (especially on downhill stuff) and the side to side foot and ankle stability is good if not great."

"I bought the Echo boot as a replacement of a worn out similar constructed boot by another company. The initial fit and feel of the boot was good (in the store). I used them for a three-day hike backpacking trip on the AT.

My feet have never sweat so bad in any other boot."
