User Review: Asolo Globaline Parallel
Materials: Leather, Gortex, Rubber
Use: Heavy trail boots
Break-in Period: long time
Price Paid: $140 on closeout
Look, there is not a better boot I have ever worn in my entire life. As the other reviewer here said, I too felt soreness on my ankles becuase of the plastic strap, but that went away after about 3 weeks. You don't just buy a pair of boots then go on a 8 mile hike, then complain they make your feet sore. These are not basketball shoes but rugged thick, serious hiking boots made for protecting your feet. They require at least a 3 week break in if not more.
These boots are silent, I could sneak past a dog with them. I can ride a motorcycle with them. I can walk all day in the city with them. I can hike with them. I can climb sharp rocks witht them. I honestly can't believe how versitle these boots are, they are never clumsy even tho they are so big. The rubber wrap around is amazing I can kick in door or kick just about anything and not hurt my foot and large rocks never pose a threat.
Basically my favorite pair of boots for all time. Comfortable, quiet, super traction, strong, stable(espically stable), great for weak ankles, I could go on and on. Too bad they don't make them anymore I would but a 2nd pair to have for another 6 years like these.
I have owned Merrel's and Technica's proior to these boots so I have an idea what makes a good boot.
