User Review: Asolo Moran GTX
Rating: ![]()
Price Paid: $200
I've been backpacking for 30 years and typically go with a full grain leather backpacking boot. This is my first foray into a light boot designed for backpacking.
Fit was great out of the box. Still took about 30 miles of hiking before they really felt like they were mine. They have been exceptionally comfortable, light, not too hot. I can wear them all day without any discomfort now.
Traction is generally good but I find them just a little more slippery than other boots I have worn on wet rock. I plan on wearing them until they wear out — will see if they have the longevity of a good leather boot.
