Woolx Everyday Long Sleeve Crew 230 Midweight

rated 5 of 5 stars The WoolX men's Everyday Long Sleeve Crew, 230 Midweight Top (X506-302) has become, without any doubt, my favorite base layer top. I wear it frequently, pretty much year round, as a stand-alone layer, or beneath other layers and outerwear. It is incredibly comfortable, has great warmth and wicking capability, and has held up well for over a year of use and washings. Definitely recommend investing in this top!                                                    … Full review

Craft Men's Active Extreme 2.0 CN LS Top

rated 4.5 of 5 stars An awesome baselayer from Craft. The Active Extreme 2.0 CN LS is NOT a thermal baselayer even though according to the company's graph it's best suited for elite athletes doing high intensity activities in temps hovering at -10° Celsius... ...ooorr just any other regular dude that sweats doing some very light backpacking @16-17° Celsius and 77% humidity in Crete (lol). It feels warm when in sunlight due to the black color, but when in shade the temp drops instantly! I mean this thing really cools… Full review

ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars 6-star underwear! Would give six stars if I could. Have owned two pairs for about five years now. Initially purchased for treks to avoid the dreaded chafing. They are now used for any athletic venture. Quality: Two pair that have lasted five years, that alone is impressive. Material is kind on the skin, stretches well, but stays on the body.   Comfort: Have worn on 15-mile hikes, lots of sweating and ZERO chafing. They wick moisture amazingly and keep their form after a long day. Breathable: No… Full review

Avalanche Wear Mogul Pant

rated 1 of 5 stars These used to be my go-to pants. They were fantastic until they changed the fabric years ago and made them in China. I just bought these pants after years of refusing to buy them for years because of the terrible pilling and their latest product is worse than ever. They pilled immediately. I bought Athletica Polartec at the same time and there is no pilling. I am so disappointed because 15 years ago when they were made in Canada they were fantastic. Why don't companies listen to their consumer reviews? Full review

Coldpruf Platinum II Pant

rated 5 of 5 stars ColdPruf has better quality materials (not cotton) than the old stuff I have, and the fit is much better. There are excellent sizing charts and sizes for tall people, like myself. The fit is great. I could comfortably play sports or other activities in the Platinum II without any range of motion restrictions. It is tight enough fitting for a base layer (the modern name for long underwear), but not too tight. Recommend for active people in cold weather. As a member of another website, I get products… Full review

rated 1 of 5 stars The fabric makes the genitals sweat and smell. The fabric seems okay, but the genitals sweat and now smell.  Full review

Icebreaker Oasis Crewe S/S

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Very expensive crap. I am in New Zealand where Icebreaker comes from and this brand has gone downhill in the last year or so. The quality is not what it used to be and is mostly no longer 100% pure Merino wool as their general advertising would have us believe, instead having other artificial fiber incorporated into the yarn I am informed. At the beginning of winter I bought three Icebreaker items. A scarf, a sweater, and a base layer. The first two were returned to the retailer as they were not… Full review

Icebreaker Oasis Crewe S/S

rated 5 of 5 stars This 100% merino wool t shirt is great for most outdoor pursuits and workouts. 200 weight merino is a bit heavier weight than the "ultralight" wool t's and has benefits, namely more warmth and durability. The ability to wear while damp, wick moisture, and stay warm is wonderful. Smooth finish is not itchy. This is really a tale of two t-shirts. In 2010, I purchased Icebreaker's Hopper Lite t shirt and still wear it today. That model was later discontinued. A couple of years ago, I searched for and… Full review
