Airblaster Men's Ninja Suit

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Looking for a "onesie?" The Airblaster Ninja One-Piece Suit offers all I need for a full coverage, draft free, mid-weight base layer...without the bulk! As is often the case for me (being on a fixed income) I enter review contests to win gear that I need (but can't afford) for my passionate pursuits. Winning a TheDyrt campground review contest, I garnered a coveted gift certificate to Airblaster (myairblaster.com). I must admit, the gift certificate was substantial and I was no less grateful...but… Full review

ExOfficio Sol Cool Boxer Brief

rated 4 of 5 stars Jade infused fabric pulls moisture from your body for a cool sensation. Slim fit does not bunch up. I was sent a pair of ExOfficio Sol Cool boxer briefs in late January for testing and review. I actually tried to wear them during the winter but found that they were just too cool for comfort at that time of the year. Once things started to warm up I gave them a thorough workout. Comprised of 52% Cotton, 42% Nylon, 6% Spandex, the nylon has been infused with Jade, yes, Jade the rock. Apparently,… Full review

Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Sleeves

rated 5 of 5 stars Out of all the clothes I’ve used for hiking this is by far the cleverest, well executed, and best functional garment I had. I hiked over 1,000 miles with those sleeves, and did it in blazing sun, high altitude high radiation, and hot conditions. I have very white sensitive skin, and I was appalled by the thought of carrying and applying sun screen for the whole trip. Fortunately I came across the ActiveIce Sun Sleeves that offered the ideal solution for sun protection. Pros: Blocks the sun! It… Full review

Whether skiing, backpacking, or even doing outdoor chores, the merino wool Inversion will help regulate temperature regardless of the conditions! A winter afternoon walk with Otto SPECS 18.5 micron merino wool 190g weight UPF 50+ 100% recycled polyester waistband Flatlocked seams… Full review

Avalanche Wear Women's Mogul Fleece Legging

rated 5 of 5 stars Where I live temperatures can drop well below zero I have never even thought about wearing a second pair of pants. The inner fleece lining is super soft and wicks moisture away from your skin also blocks wind. Washes well without breaking down. I've had my pair for two years and they're still my go-to winter running pants. Stretch as well when running. I have the woman's version of these pants, but could not find them on the site and wanted to express how much I truly love these pants. Full review

U.S. Armed Forces Gen III, Level 2 ECWCS Top

rated 5 of 5 stars U.S. made Polartec Power Grid fleece top for $20. Compare to the $100 Patagonia R1 which is now made overseas. I find myself wearing the level 2 grid fleece top (aka waffle top) more than any other garment when playing outdoors. Here's why: Ultra breathable Great wicking properties Warm, even as an outer layer Versatile: can be used effectively as a base, mid, or outer layer Thumb holes to facilitate the donning of other layers Half zip for venting Even if I do sweat while wearing this, the impressive… Full review

MyPakage Pro Series 2-in-1

rated 5 of 5 stars Pro series long underwear and athletic shorts in one package. The unique MyPakage 3 dimensional pouch protects your precious parts. Unless you have worn MyPakage underwear, you are really missing a great experience. Utilizing their 3-dimensional keyhole technology pouch that surrounds your package, they give you the best feeling underwear on the planet. There is no more adjusting your package because the pouch keeps everything nicely tucked away and not in constant contact with your legs. Forget… Full review

Terramar Men's Silk Pant

rated 2 of 5 stars Great pajamas, poor base layer. Thermasilk base layer from Terramar is not adequate for outdoor sports or any type of physical activity: It is far too weak and fragile. It is too thin to provide any warmth, and when wet, they feel cold. They will rip and shred if worn in an endurance sports or hard work setting. Also, they do not hold their shape. Hand-washing brings back their original shape, but they become limp after a couple of days out in the field. On the other hand, they make the best pajamas,… Full review

Sherpa Adventure Gear Men's Baans Tech Quarter Zip

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Used this for basecamp warmth after hiking 7 to 9 hours in the fall Maine weather. After hiking all day relied on this to stay warm while setting up campsite and in the cool fall Maine mornings to stay warm while breaking down. Keeps you extremely warm and comfortable during these critical times. This pullover fits great and is extremely comfortable after a long day of hard hiking. Provides essential warmth in the cool fall Maine weather after a great day's hiking, or in the early cold fall mornings. Full review
