SmartWool Midweight Turtleneck

rated 5 of 5 stars Luxurious warmth!!!! WOW! I could just leave it at that but I will elaborate. I first bought the SmartWool NTS 250 bottoms, which I love, so when I saw this shirt on sale I couldn't resist. Although both the top and bottoms are NTS 250 the top is much thicker and sooooo soft. I like staying warm outdoors and this shirt has kept me just that! I wear it all winter and bring it along for all my hiking and camping endeavours in the summer as well. I usually sleep in it when I'm at higher elevations… Full review

SmartWool Women's NTS Mid 250 Bottom

rated 5 of 5 stars These are without a doubt the best long johns I have ever owned! I am 5'7", 125lbs and I bought the mediums. They fit like a glove (well literally as they are next to skin). So comfy and non restricting, you barely notice you have them on. I did a lot of research in my quest for super warm long johns and came to the conclusion that wool was going to be the warmest. I am not disappointed. The waistband is wider so they don't roll down as some other brands do. I love being outdoors but don't like… Full review

First Lite Chama Hoody

rated 5 of 5 stars My First Lite merino clothing keeps me comfortable in the cold mountain mornings and when I am hiking during the warmer parts of the day. Great for layering or for sleeping in on those cold nights. Pull the hood up, cinch it down for added warmth. The Chama Hoody is a versatile top. It can be used as a base layer on those cold hikes through the woods, or as a stand-alone sweater on those days where a jacket is too much. The hood, with its cinch string, is useful in a cool environment, but you will… Full review

Avalanche Wear Mogul Pant

rated 5 of 5 stars These pants are incredible. I've worn and washed them 100 times and they still look and feel new. These pants are INCREDIBLE. I have washed and worn them 100 times. Not only have I been wearing them as a base layer under my ski pants but I wear their legging style all winter. Since I live in leggings all year these are perfect for winter because they have a fleece lining and I swear they are wind block (even though I don't think they are). Anyway, I have been reading about other people's pants pilling,… Full review

ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 4.5 of 5 stars These might replace every pair of underwear you own. Okay, maybe not at $25 a pair, but they are comfortable, lightweight, incredibly fast at wicking away moisture and quick drying. Yep, they are that good. When I purchased my first pair of these in 2009, I would have said $25 is rather expensive for a pair of underwear and would have listed that as a con. Today, as I see other performance underwear being sold for $30-$50, I realize that $25 is reasonable and well worth the investment. If you're… Full review

Stoic Merino 200 Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars Superb. I wouldn't wear anything other than merino underwear for outdoor use year round and these are the best I've bought. I've tried Icebreaker (legs too short and fabric rides up) and SmartWool (not bad).  Good midweight fabric here and grips the legs well, but not constrictive in the groin. Full review

Adidas Sport Performance Flex 360 Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars Let's talk about my underwear. Awkward, right? OK, let's talk about chaffing. Yea, not any better is it? On the other hand, there really isn't a lot of information available on this touchy and very important subject. So guys, here's my effort to weigh in on the subject with an outstanding option to help solve the issue. Summary:  The Adidas flex360 Sport Performance Boxer Brief is comfortable and highly functional as it flexes to your body shape while (1) providing proper male athletic support,… Full review

ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars Only boxer briefs to wear while being active. Best underwear for the outdoors! I wear them hiking, camping, and under my board shorts. They dry fast and even after a few days in Yosemite they kept their shape and didn't stink. Full review

Under Armour Original Series 9-inch Boxerjock

rated 4 of 5 stars Comfortable, functional, and durable underwear for most sport activities. Light breathable fabric wicks moisture and dries well. Extended leg provides extended friction protection. The Under Armour Boxerjock came highly recommended for backpacking from several sources. I was a bit taken aback when I first saw the price. The idea of $20 underwear seemed a bit absurd to me and I made more than a few jokes. Still, as a cyclist I was well aware of the value in wearing the right gear to protect sensitive… Full review
