Patagonia Men's Merino 3 Midweight Hoody

rated 5 of 5 stars Encapsulating warmth, anti-stink, relatively quick drying, wicking, optional thumb loops, light weight, and recently on sale! Is that possible? One top to rule them all. Fit for me is spot on. Deep chest zip is aah-so-perfect, extra long arms, breathes and adjusts to temperature better than anything, layers perfectly, because of merino/Capilene fusion. This now has better abrasion resistance and drying time. From 55 degrees and below this is the ultimate upper body single item apparel. I now own… Full review

ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars Best underwear ever. Period. I kept reading reviews about these and finally pulled the trigger on a pair from REI. Great move on my part, now I have replaced ALL of my boxer briefs with these. I wear them every day, at work, on the trail, at the gym they are my all purpose go to "draws".  These wick like crazy and stay dry even during strenuous workouts or long hikes. My only gripe and its a relatively minor one, they could offer a little more support than what they do (mostly important for running… Full review

Mountain Equipment Crux LS Crew

rated 5 of 5 stars The Mountain Equipment Crux LS Crew tee is an excellent synthetic (polyester) baselayer suitable for year round use. It features Polygiene anti-microbial technology which works reasonably well to limit odour. The main selling point for me is the excellent construction and durability which has impressed me over the past two years. From Mountain Equipment:  A close fitting tee that efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin and dries quickly on the move. Built in Polygiene anti-microbial technology… Full review

Woolx X704

rated 4 of 5 stars The Woolx X704 1/4 zip heavyweight merino pullover made from 100% Australian Merino Wool (400g/m2, 18.5 Micron) is impressively warm for its size (volume and weight). The attractive design and well-fitting athletic cut, combined with its excellent performance in a wide range of conditions make it an ideal mid layer for all manner of outdoor pursuits. From Woolx: A heavyweight ¼ zip pullover made from 100% Australian Merino Wool (400g/m2, 18.5 Micron). Fit/Adjustability: My measurements are a 43-inch… Full review

Coldpruf Men's Platinum Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars Best bang for the buck in long underwear. Perfectly comfortable, durable, warm, and air dry fast. Bought mine from Campmor. Reordered more when I realized how good they were. Made next door in Mexico. Full review

SmartWool Midweight Turtleneck

rated 5 of 5 stars Luxurious warmth!!!! WOW! I could just leave it at that but I will elaborate. I first bought the SmartWool NTS 250 bottoms, which I love, so when I saw this shirt on sale I couldn't resist. Although both the top and bottoms are NTS 250 the top is much thicker and sooooo soft. I like staying warm outdoors and this shirt has kept me just that! I wear it all winter and bring it along for all my hiking and camping endeavours in the summer as well. I usually sleep in it when I'm at higher elevations… Full review

SmartWool Women's NTS Mid 250 Bottom

rated 5 of 5 stars These are without a doubt the best long johns I have ever owned! I am 5'7", 125lbs and I bought the mediums. They fit like a glove (well literally as they are next to skin). So comfy and non restricting, you barely notice you have them on. I did a lot of research in my quest for super warm long johns and came to the conclusion that wool was going to be the warmest. I am not disappointed. The waistband is wider so they don't roll down as some other brands do. I love being outdoors but don't like… Full review

First Lite Chama Hoody

rated 5 of 5 stars My First Lite merino clothing keeps me comfortable in the cold mountain mornings and when I am hiking during the warmer parts of the day. Great for layering or for sleeping in on those cold nights. Pull the hood up, cinch it down for added warmth. The Chama Hoody is a versatile top. It can be used as a base layer on those cold hikes through the woods, or as a stand-alone sweater on those days where a jacket is too much. The hood, with its cinch string, is useful in a cool environment, but you will… Full review

Avalanche Wear Mogul Pant

rated 5 of 5 stars These pants are incredible. I've worn and washed them 100 times and they still look and feel new. These pants are INCREDIBLE. I have washed and worn them 100 times. Not only have I been wearing them as a base layer under my ski pants but I wear their legging style all winter. Since I live in leggings all year these are perfect for winter because they have a fleece lining and I swear they are wind block (even though I don't think they are). Anyway, I have been reading about other people's pants pilling,… Full review
