Icebreaker Women's Oasis Long Sleeve Crewe

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I own three of these, and they are the most useful pieces of outdoor clothing I've ever owned. Since I travel a lot and only take a carry-on, I find the Icebreaker Oasis Crewe comes off the mountain and dresses up fairly nicely for supper in the city. They never smell. They dry quickly and wash beautifully. I own three Crewe shirts in black, black, and fuchsia. Although the black ones are more versatile, I love the bright pink colour. If you like your shirts loose, take a size larger. They do occasionally… Full review

MyPakage Action Series Boxer Brief

rated 4 of 5 stars The primary marketing edge of MyPakage's stretchy boxer briefs is a specially-shaped and partially separated pouch...but its real advantage lies in a no-chafe design with great fabric. The pouch feels odd at first; over time, I grew to really like these. They do a nice job wicking moisture and keeping you dry and are particularly good at drying quickly. They appear to be reasonably durable and did not chafe or bind. I would choose MyPakage boxer briefs over comparable boxer briefs based on overall… Full review

Icebreaker Men's Everyday Long Sleeve Crewe

rated 5 of 5 stars I would fill my closet with these shirts!! I've had this shirt for a few months now. I went on a two-week road trip Quebec-Colorado-Grand Canyon-Vegas and all the way back, and had this shirt for most of the time and skied with it. Came back and nobody could've said so by looking at it or smelling it. I am 6' - 175 lbs and took the XL so I could wear it with a looser fit, which also permits me to wear another tighter layer of merino underneath when really cold. So instead of packing 5-6 T-shirts,… Full review

Patagonia Men's Capilene Daily T-Shirt

rated 4 of 5 stars Dries fast, inexpensive and comfortable... This is Patagonia's Daily T-Shirt, advertised as being a regular cut so you won't look out of place in town. It's made out of the same quick drying Capilene polyester as the discontinued Capilene 1 Silkweight T-Shirt, with the same Polygiene odor control, but it comes in more "normal" colors. Also listed among its features are gusseted underarms (I don't know what that means) and 50+ sun protection. The material is good stuff, it's more abrasion resistant… Full review

Icebreaker Men's Everyday Long Sleeve Crewe

rated 5 of 5 stars A superb, comfortable baselayer for cool weather activities. I started wearing Merino baselayers back in 2003, when they first seemed to be hitting the market. In those days, it was Smartwool, and not much else. Most of the tops I purchased those many years ago, are now in tatters, so it was time to replace. Having had good recent success with Icebreaker, I found this shirt on sale, and took the bait. I have found Icebreaker's fit to be slightly on the small side, so even though I usually wear XL… Full review

Patagonia Men's Capilene 1 Silkweight T-Shirt

rated 4 of 5 stars Good, solid base layer. This is a solid T-shirt. The material has a slight sheen to it, is a bit stretchy and very comfortable. It wicks and dries very quickly. I bought mine in black about 6 months ago. It's been washed about 10 times and the seams and stitching still look great. I hike in just this shirt during the day and haven't had any problems with snares from gear or branches, so I'd say it's durable. It still smells fine, and I think whatever odor guard Patagonia is using works well. It's… Full review

ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxer Brief

rated 5 of 5 stars Fastest drying underwear that I have ever had. Makes for the perfect travel and camping underwear. When I first bought a pair, I thought that they were very pricey. Now on my sixth pair and I feel that they are well worth the money. I have hand-washed these boxer briefs in streams, sinks and in the shower. If I wash them in the morning and hang dry, they are dry by the afternoon/evening. Two pair, is all you need for your adventures. Full review

Patagonia Men's Capilene 2 Lightweight Zip-Neck

rated 5 of 5 stars Easy care material that can be washed in a sink as well as in a washing machine. Lightweight and durable. My most durable layering piece. I have tried many other alternatives for active heat retention base layers, and always come back to this piece. Deals well with odor, the rubbing of straps through clothing, and drys quickly. Freedom of movement is incorporated in the design. Capilene has worked very well for me. Try a garment on your next adventure.  Full review

Ibex Men's Woolies 2 Bottom

rated 5 of 5 stars My butt always froze on a wet ski lift—until these. These rock—no problems after 9 years. Very comfortable and never overheating thanks to the way merino regulates temperature. Wool keeps you warm even when wet. Never gotten moist from sweat, wicks well. Still looks new, quality durable construction. Full review
