I have had Berhaus Lightning Gore-Tex jackets for over ten years, with over a thousand miles walking I feel I can no longer trust Gore-tex jackets. In my experience the breathablity soon fails when the coat is wet. Last time I wore the coat was on Exmoor England when it was hard rain for two days, I was wet through within an hour!

I have now bought an Lowe Alpine Foothills Jacket and I will soon be testing it in the wilds of Scotland
