Was looking for a tent for my wife and I and our two…

Rating: rated 4.5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: $300

Was looking for a tent for my wife and I and our two young kids and chose the BA Pine Island 4 - very happy with my choice. The tent is big with plenty of room for our family, though it'd be tight for four adults. There is ample space for gear in the two vestibules and having two doors is nice.

The construction quality is good all around, but the floor is fairly lightweight polyester, so I wouldn't feel comfortable using it without a footprint underneath to protect it (made my own from a $6 Walmart tarp and it works fine).

Setup is quick and very easy using the color-coded poles and grommets. The rain fly sits a few inches off of the tent (which helps reduce condensation) and provides excellent coverage over the entire tent. Got rained on and the tent handled the weather well. The tent uses lots of mesh, so this would be best for milder climates and it offers good night sky viewing opportunities.

As expected for a 4-person tent, it's fairly big and heavy (9 lbs 6 oz packed without a footprint) but if 2 or 3 were hiking you could divide the parts and carry it. All in all I'm really happy with the tent - it's well made, roomy, and offers great protection - me and the family dig it!

Special for russian-speaking users: Великолепная…

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: 229

Special for russian-speaking users:

Великолепная палатка огромных размеров. Довольна проста в установке, хороший вес. За счет яркого цвета не так греется на солнце. В наличии один огромный тамбур + второй является просто входом-выходом ну и дополнительной вентиляцией. Конструкция палатки такова что внешний и внутренний тенты находятся на значительном расстоянии друг от друга что очень хорошо для вентиляции.

Внутренние габариты поражают. Я бы смело ей давал категорию пятимесных.

Минусов пока не обнаружил.
