This was the first "larger" pack I ever bought, on Craigslist a couple years ago. I have since acquired two more and worn several others and feel I have a better idea of this pack's strengths and weaknesses.

First, it is extremely comfortable, but only up to a certain weight. I think some websites claim you can do up to 40-45 lbs. in this pack, but I found that 30 lbs. or less was more realistic.

The buckles are all very strong and the adjustments not only allow for maximum comfort, they stay where they are set unlike another pack I have that was a gift.

The main downside to this pack is the aforementioned weight, but I rarely do backpacking excursions where I need more weight, and have a larger Gregory pack that I use if needed. I also feel like it could have better methods of internal organization, and mesh pouches on the sides, but this is an older pack design and it does have a hydration pouch which holds my Osprey 3L w/hose just fine.

All in all, this is a great pack and I have been very happy with it, especially for the price I paid. I am fairly certain this pack is no longer made, and I cannot imagine paying full retail for it now, with so many more well designed (from an organization standpoint) packs out there now.
