This is an excellent car glamping stove for the chef.

Pros

  • Ample heat
  • Simple to use
  • Good burner controls

Cons

  • Subject to wind
  • Storeage/packability is combersome
  • Separet fuel bottle
  • No stove levelers

I've used this stove for three seasons now and am well pleased with its performance. I bought it so I could cook outside my Scamp travel trailer and now almost exclusively cook outside using this stove.

I found the two burners to provide ample heat for cooking on a griddle or on separate skillets. The burn controls provide burner control for a simmer or a quick boil. However, like all open burner stoves, it is subject to wind. One nice feature is the spark starter for the burners.

The setup is fairly easy. Just set it on the picnic table, connect the fuel bottle hose to the stove, with the supplied wrench, and you are in business. The only fault I find with the setup is that there are no built-in levelers for the stove; you have to find sticks or rocks to place under the feet of the stove to level it.

Construction wise the stove is built for the long haul. The frame, burners and top burner grate have been made from stout material.

Packability wise it is a bit cumbersome. The stove itself needs a box because the feet seem to catch on everything. And finding a place for the separate propane bottle can be a little difficult sometimes.

All things considered, I would recommend this stove for car camping (glamping).
