User Review: Coleman Ohio
I have owned one of these tents for 10 years now and it is still in regular use. It is a good strong tent with a surprising amount of inside space.
- Very good in strong wind, plenty of room, two doors.
- My only complaint is when opening the outer door first thing in the morning water can drip into the inner tent
The previous review states there is little room in the two porches for cooking.
This can be overcome by zipping up the outer door and release the middle pole on that side, let it out to the fly sheet. Pull out the peg, and pull the inner tent on that side inwards. This will double the size of the porch which gives plenty of room for cooking in poor weather. Needless to say the pole should be put back in its place when finished.
At 4 kilos I think this tent is a little heavy for backpacking. As for the small pack size I gave up trying to get it into the original bag years ago. When wet it very difficult
It has stood up to some terrible weather over the years and has never let me down.
This is an excellent tent and very good quality.
At the time of writing (April 2012) this tent is still available on the internet for £67. This is a bagain, I am tempted to buy another one.
