Coleman Sundome 7
The Sundome 7 has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best three-season tents for 2026.
Camped for 8 days at 9200 feet in AZ White Mountains. Seasonal monsoons produced rain every day except one. I had about a tablespoon of water near door one or two days, but that was it, and probably due to keeping outdoor doorflap partially open. I had seam-sealed tent seams, and fly comes factory-taped.
I thought I had settled based on price over the Eureka Tetragon 7 and the new Bauer 3-man dome available at Target, but I was very happy with the Sundome 7. Super ventilation, intelligent design, good construction and features. Tremendous value! I also like the attractive subdued tan/olive colors--modern, low visual impact appearance.
My only beef: Coleman makes a bomber replacement tent stake (about ten-inch, metal, hammers in). Unfortunately, the tent comes with cheap, skinny, short metal ones that are not very secure. Wish they included the good ones.
