GSI Outdoors Infinity Insulated Mug

rated 5 of 5 stars Great bit of kit, I own at least three. I'm a Scouter. I have seen them all over the years. I have every mug made I think, and I just couldn't settle till I found this one. For canoeing for years I used an MSR Ugamug. The one feature I like about this mug is if you throw a folding titanium spork and small salt and pepper shaker inside it and close the lid, it will fit inside a Fairshare Mug. Great feature. Compact full mess kit. Full review

GSI Outdoors Infinity Insulated Mug

rated 5 of 5 stars Just about perfect. This is a great coffee mug. Picked this up about three months ago and it's held up well on several overnight and multi-day trips. It's stable while on the ground, it doesn't have hard edges or angles making for easy packing, it insulates well, and the webbing handle can be used to drink in a couple of different ways.   The locking lid and closure are snug. The lid has a drinking opening and a small opening for air that both seal when in the closed position. The only negative… Full review

Sea to Summit Delta Insul-Mug

rated 3 of 5 stars While I like some of the features, a couple of significant flaws keep this from being my go-to coffee mug. Excellent heat retention and hand insulation, but questionable lid design and materials. I prefer a more traditional mug with a handle and without worries about the lid. I bought the Sea to Summit Delta Insul-Mug on a whim while shopping for a couple of other items before a trip last fall. So far, I have tested it in the following situations: 3 trips in the fall and winter (8 total nights)… Full review

Minipresso GR

rated 4 of 5 stars It really produces a nice espresso. It's remarkable from this little "presso". Cleaning-wise it's a little hassle, but again the richness of flavor still outweighs this. Besides being a little weighty, my primary issue is the temperature of the final product. You have to be careful to pre-heat your coffee cup, and perform a pre-brewing warming run with your heated water prior to actually making your expresso. Even pre-heating if your are after a really hot cup, you may need to do some post "brewing"… Full review

Minipresso GR

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A compact, portable espresso maker that brings a touch of luxury to the backcountry. Best for outdoor recreation enthusiasts who like real espresso in the backcountry. Introduction The Minipresso is a squat, black cylinder, approximately 7 inches long and about 8 inches in diameter. It weighs about 12.6 ounces and has a comforting heft in the hand—like weapon or some sort? In fact, it is an extremely effective weapon against fatigue and against the bitter experience of sub-par coffee. The Minipresso… Full review

Optimus Kettle

rated 4 of 5 stars I've found this to be the only pot I need when "hot camping" on backpack trips. For comparison purposes, I'm a lightweight (under 20lb pack w/food for 3 days and fishing gear - FSO weight under 25lb) and will often "cold camp", taking no stove or foods that need cooking (unless I'm fishing, too). I've been helping people find the joys of the wilderness since I was in Scouts 40+years ago and have led beginners and beginner groups on successful backpacking trips in the Sierra Nevada for years. In… Full review

Snow Peak Ti-Single 450 Cup

rated 5 of 5 stars Very cool. What great outdoor gear should be. I love this mug. So light. Can drink wine in it at night, rinse, and have coffee in the morning with no taste carryover. Carry this mug with a small Nalgene 4 oz jar filled with sugar inside of it for my morning coffee. Full review

Ozark Trail 3-Piece Cook Set

rated 4.5 of 5 stars An inexpensive, large, stainless steel cook pot set ideal for Bushcrafters. In my small town, we are limited to Walmart and one other store for camping supplies. Mostly it is junk, but once in a while something catches my eye. This product was just loaded on the shelf and hasn't even hit Walmart's website yet.  This cook kit comes with a stainless 2 qt pot, stainless 1.44 qt pot and a universal lid.  The best part is the $9.88 price.   There isn't much to say about a SS cookpot. It holds water,… Full review

Stanley Mountain Compact Cook Set

rated 4 of 5 stars For a person who likes a large cook pot and doesn't mind a little extra weight, this may be your new favorite. I admit that I am a cook pot gear geek. (I would rather collect cars and motorcycles, but this will have to do.). When I see something inexpensive that looks like it may be nice to have around, I will pick one up. Stanley's new Mountain series uses imagination to make well nesting, full functioning products.   Total weight on this set including spork is 13.85 oz.  If you are a kid or… Full review
