Stansport Aluminum Percolator

rated 4.5 of 5 stars What a campfire coffee pot should be: Usable over a fire. Also works great on a stove, even at home. Ideal for those who like plain old perked coffee. I have owned this coffee pot for several months, and used it several dozen times. It has held up fine, though it might not last forever.  It works perfectly, over a fire, or on the stove at home. It perks, you can see it's perking, it doesn't boil over. The main bail handle is very nice. It is nice to have one (and so many pots don't anymore), as… Full review

Open Country Aluminum Covered Kettle - 2 Quart

rated 5 of 5 stars Can't imagine a better cook pot for the price I have used this pot on pretty much all my backpacking trips )several per year) for about five years, almost always over an open fire or twig stove. It is made of very light aluminum, and has held up very well. The exterior is permanently black, and it came to me slightly mashed so the lid requires some pressure to be seated perfectly and a sort of flick (I use a fork in the ring) to get up when it is. I love this pot: -It is very lightweight -It is… Full review

GSI Outdoors Pinnacle Soloist

rated 4.5 of 5 stars If you don't want to put out the money for titanium, and have basic backcountry needs, the Soloist is a great choice for one or two. Specs: 1.1 liter hard-anodized aluminum pot 14 fl. oz. insulated mug/bowl Telescoping spork Stuff sack / Welded sink Insulated handle Size: 5.5 x 5.4 x 5 inches Weight: 10.9 oz. I've used the GSI Soloist for the past five years or so and except for the tiniest of dings it still looks as good as new with zero degradation of the pot surface. While I typically use it… Full review

Sea to Summit AlphaLight Long Spoon

rated 5 of 5 stars A lightweight long spoon made for eating meals out of dehydrated pouches. High quality aluminum alloy. The spoon is hard anodized, to prevent chemicals leeching into food. A great spoon for multi-day backpacking trips when food weight matters. The long spoon allows me to keep my backpacking kitchen light: spoon, Snow Peak mug, and fuel canister stove. The spoon is a couple inches longer than regular sized spoons, which means you will not get food on your fingers when digging the last spoonfuls out… Full review

Calphalon #1307 Omelette Pan

rated 4 of 5 stars Heavy weight, but if frying things evenly is your thing, you might want to carry one like it. This is not traditional backpacking/camping cookware, of course, but nothing works like aluminium for even heat transfer on a backpacking/camping stove that can come anywhere near the light weight. The problem, of course, is that the lighter you make the pot, the less evenly it will cook. The Calphalon #1307 7" omelette pan is to my knowledge the smallest hard-anodised aluminium, uncoated skillet/frying… Full review

GSI Outdoors Halulite Boiler

rated 4 of 5 stars Hard-anodised aluminium gives the best combination of durability, light weight, and heat transfer. The only real flaws I see in this product are that the handle is relatively heavy, at 36 g (1.3 oz), and the lid could fit tighter. The only hard-anodised aluminium pot on the market with an actual lid. I have the 1.1L Halulite Boiler, which is a supposedly proprietary aluminium alloy. It's hard-anodised with NO non-stick coating. So far as I am aware, it is the only hard-anodised aluminium, uncoated… Full review

GSI Outdoors Halulite Minimalist Cookset

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Excellent quality pot and lid. Super lightweight with room to store gas and stove. This set is really great if you are looking to pack small and light but still have what you need. The pot doubles as a coffee cup as it comes with a cozi and a drink lid that you can also cook with if you flip it upside down. It comes with a spoon that kind of sucks because it is flimsy and doesn't fit in the lid as depicted on the box. It also comes with a rubber thermal gripper to grab the pot after heating food/water. Sea to Summit X-Pot 1.4L

rated 4 of 5 stars This is a very functional and packable pot for camping and backpacking. It's lightweight, collapsible, the perfect size for one- or two-person cooking, and durable with quick heat up on the camp stove. We loved several of the great features of this pot: it is lightweight and collapses to a very packable disk to toss into the backpack. I also like that the lid (so glad it has a lid!) can double as a strainer (for those times you add too much water, or if you need to drain off water from pasta) and… Full review

Sea to Summit Delta Spork with Knife

rated 5 of 5 stars The Sea to Summit Delta Spork with knife is the perfect all meal utensil for the trail. It is a fork, spoon, and knife all in one. Since I got my spork, I have brought it on all of my backpacking trips. It eliminates any need to bring three separate utensils and instead combines them all into one lightweight plastic alternative. The only downside to its design is that it gets a little bit messy when you switch from using one end to the other. I have to make sure not to get whatever I'm eating all… Full review
