Light My Fire Spork Titanium

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A highly durable and highly practical eating utensil. It’s as simple as that. Reviewer's Note:In July 2015, I reviewed the plastic version of this spork, which I was generally pleased with at the time. In March 2017, I updated that review to reflect some of the breaking issues that had occurred with the plastic. I purchased a titanium version of the spork in April 2017 and have used it extensively since, while 3 of the 4 plastic sporks have now broke. Recently, I purchased a second titanium spork… Full review

MSR Big Titan Kettle

rated 3 of 5 stars Nice big pot...but flawed. When I spend $80 on a pot I expect it to do everything perfect. I will say that I am a fan of MSR and have their stainless steel pots and really like them. But the Big Titan Kettle had one BIG flaw in my opinion. First, why did I buy the Big Titan? I wanted a water boiler...that's it. I wanted to be able to boil large amounts of water, which it of course does. It is the quality you'd expect from MSR except that it drips so much when you pour. If you really concentrate,… Full review

Snow Peak Titanium Spork

rated 5 of 5 stars If I could only have one piece of modern backpackers kit—this is it. I love everything about my Snow Peak sporks and would recommend them to anyone. I've been using them for two years and well let's just say I do not plan on buying normal household flatware when I settle down from my travels, but rather stocking up on more of these lovely sporks. The anodized colors are cool but don't wear as well as the standard color. Okay, being more critical for a second, the bowl is a little shallow. I would… Full review

GSI Outdoors Pouch Spoon

rated 5 of 5 stars An inexpensive, long-handled spoon for scraping the last bit of the goodness out of that deep plastic bag or foil pouch. I can’t believe I’m reviewing a spoon. After all, it’s just A SPOON! But in the age of the $22 titanium folding spoon, not all spoons are created—or priced—equal. So here goes. Many of us regular TSers are old enough to remember: when your parents or grandparents took you to the ice cream parlor and you ordered a hot fudge sundae and it was served in a tall kind of goblet… Full review

Snow Peak Titanium Mini Solo

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Very light, compact, and durable cookset. I bought this set to replace a set with a nylon lid which melted in the campfire (surprise surprise).  I used an REI dividend to purchase this item with a 20% off coupon. I probably would not have shelled out the $$ otherwise to purchase this item.  It's titanium, so it is light and strong. I have manged to keep it dent free so far. Survives campfires no problem, though retrieving it can be a little dicey due to the short handles. If you sit on it, you'll… Full review

Hydro Flask 40 oz Wide Mouth Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars Easily worth the purchase if you like to stay hydrated at home or work. It's a bit heavy for any kind of outdoor activity, but perfect to leave in the car for a nice cold or hot treat once you are back! I originally thought it was going to be too large, however, it's turned into my main water bottle during the day. It's easy to stay hydrated and Hydro Flask always stays cold or hot well longer than I anticipated. I have the grey color and it looks sharp! I've dropped it in a parking lot and just… Full review

MSR Alpine StowAway Pots

rated 4 of 5 stars It is compact, long-lasting, and folds and locks down just small enough to fit your MSR WhisperLite inside. I'm on my second one, and I've been using them for 20 years. They are small enough to cook safely with on top of the MSR WhisperLite, which has a 9" pan width maximum. Putting your stove inside this pot before you go packing will ensure that the stove survives unscathed, and you will always know where it is. This 1 qt pot wastes almost no space in your pack. There is a metal slider on the… Full review

Primus Campfire Utility Sack

rated 5 of 5 stars Robust and reliable, the Primus Primetech CampFire Utility Sack has many uses from the backcountry to your back door! With its low cost and durability, picking up this versatile workhorse is a no-brainer, must-have! The Primus New Primetech CampFire Utility Sack is a great addition to any outdoorsperson's kit! As a member of another website, at times I am given product to test and evaluate. This is NOT the case this time. I saw the potential of uses for this item if its website claims were accurate. GSI Outdoors Infinity Insulated Mug

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Best darn backpacking mug I have ever used. In the 1960s, I used the stainless steel Boy Scout cup which burned my lip on the first sip and yielded cold coffee on the second sip. In the late 1970s Aladdin came out with a 12oz insulated mug that was very cheap but worked nicely.  I used these until about 2011 or 2012 when I discovered the GSI cup. What an awesome product at a reasonable price! Coffee and soup stay hot, it is easily cleaned and, instead of taking a measuring cup, I took out the Lexan… Full review
