rated 4 of 5 stars Great little grill, compact and lightweight Great little grill for 1 to 2 people, compact and lightweight (1.2lbs). Did I mention compact? You won't find another grill that isn't bulky. The bars for the top of the grill are a little flimsy, but strong enough to hold anything you want to cook. If you're looking for a grill that packs small, you won't find another. Paired with the FireBowl it's the perfect little grill. Full review

REI Mini Multitowel

rated 5 of 5 stars The mini towel is perfect for backpacking. After a heavy rain it's great to wipe water off your tent. The towel holds a lot of water and rings out almost dry. It comes in a small lightweight pouch with a caribiner to attach to your pack. Can be use to clean or dry your body or cook gear. I won't go hiking without it. Just love it! I used this towel on a thru hike of the Apalachian Trail. I used it as a sweat band and a towel for bathing. It was a lifesaver when it came to absorbing and wiping water… Full review

Snow Peak Titanium Single Wall 450 Cup

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent mug Love it. Unbelievably light with nice graphics. Full review

REI Insulated Mug

rated 5 of 5 stars This fantastic mug has greated my morning for over 20 years now. Ordinarily I would say a mug lasting this long and still functioning is a fluke, but for the fact I have two identical mugs and both are great. I bought mine many years ago when my wife and I hiked The Big Bend in Texas and later hike down to Phantom Ranch in The Grand Canyon. My wife found a picture the other day with the mug in the background. The picture is over 20 years old. I guess this has to be one of my single greatest purchase. Full review

GSI Outdoors Collapsible Java Drip

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I purchased this after checking some reviews, and while waiting for it to arrive, I read the review by "bigger al", so I was excited to give it a try on some fall canoe camping trips. I found it was a nifty way to make a nice cup of coffee, and would recommend this to someone looking for a compact, simple way to make a cup of coffee that is better than instant! I used this drip coffee maker, with my GSI insulated mug, on a number of fall camping trips, when the nights were cold, and a good cup of… Full review

Fozzils Bowlz Set

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A nice, light way to pack flat in your pack and to have something nicer than a rock to eat off of. Relative to its price, it's a decent piece of gear. In use with a great meal of African cassava leaves and dried smoked minnows! Ease of Use: The Fozzils bowl/plate is easy to use. It has four snaps that lock folds into place to create a bowl that is sturdy enough to hold a full meal. It is also able to hold liquids and soups successfully with its design. When you're finished eating, it wipes down… Full review

Sea to Summit AlphaLight Long Spoon

rated 5 of 5 stars A nice, super light, long handled spoon, for getting into those nooks and crannies. If you are like me, and use "cook in the bag" meals for backpacking, you have experienced the frustration of digging into a cook bag with a standard size spoon, and making a complete mess of it. The food can get all over your hands, making one bear bait by bedtime. Enter the Sea-to-Summit long handled spoon. Not much to say about it except that at 8.5 inches, it is plenty long to get into the depths of any size cook-in… Full review

GSI Outdoors Glacier Stainless Steel Bottle Cup

rated 4 of 5 stars Solid bomb proof piece of equipment. Good cup. Would be a much better stove pot if there were a lid available and if it had volume makings — at least one cup and two cup measuring marks. As it stands though there really isn't many reasons not to use this, especially for the one-man cooker. Need a simple bomb proof cup/stove pot for boiling water? No reason not to consider or use the GSI Water Bottle Cup. My son picked one up, and I was suitable impressed, so I did the same. This cup fits my… Full review

GSI Outdoors Crossover Kitchen Kit

rated 4 of 5 stars A great compact little kit for weekends or multi-day trips. It has a few useless pieces but overall a good product, and great for long backpacking trips. Better than any other kit I've seen. I've had this handy fellow for a year. It's a great addition for backcountry use and nestles nicely into my 2.5l pot, leaving just enough room to store a WhisperLite, or something of a similar size. I use it for weekend trips, and longer voyages. It is definitely more useful for multiday trips, but I find myself… Full review
