REI Vacuum Clip Mug

rated 5 of 5 stars These mugs are awesome. This is the best mug on the planet. I got several of these mugs years ago at REI. They were so awesome I got more. I have lost a few over the years, and they have gotten beat up from use but they are still my favorite mugs. I had some credit at REI and went back to get some more since mine are so old and beat up and was distraught to discover that they discontinued them. What a shame. I have looked online and searched forever. I was thrilled to find them again and immediately… Full review

Evernew Titanium Mug 400

rated 4 of 5 stars Evernew's Ti Mug 400FH is a ultra-lightest's dream. This single-wall titanium mug is the perfect companion for the backpacker whose cooking style is to heat a cup of water for rehydrating meals. Its small size and folding handles allow this mug to fit in any pack pocket or even in a jacket packet after sipping coffee along the trail. The rubber lid (the mug is sold both with and without it) allows the hiker to drink his hot coffee without burning his lips off Conditions of Testing/Use: This reviewer… Full review

GSI Infinity Insulated Mug

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Reasonably light mug that works well as a cup or even a small bowl. I own the older version of this mug which had a removable lid and an insulated sleeve, but no handle and no cover over the opening in the removable lid. This mug is pretty simple, but the sleeve and the detachable lid are nice features that really help to keep heated beverages and food warm while keeping your hands from getting burnt. Additionally, the sleeve is made of neoprene-like fabric that dries quickly if it gets wet. This… Full review

Kupilka 21

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A beautiful cup of Finnish design, made of composite material, that is the perfect solution to one’s need to cradle a cup of hot coffee in your palms on a cool, backcountry morning. The Kupilka 21 is modern interpretation of the traditional Scandinavian kuksa drinking cup. The originals were hand carved from birch burls, and would last a lifetime. These are made of a composite of wood and plastic, and ought to last a lifetime. Design - It was designed by the company’s managing director, Kari… Full review

Boy Scout Aluminum Cup

rated 3 of 5 stars This cup is great for people on a budget. It is big enough to hold one medium sized cocktail and the cute little handle prevents your sweaty hands from prematurely warming your drink. This elegant little cup is consistently easy to use, just pour liquids into the wide opening lift to your lips and sip. This Aluminum cup utilizes 1950s space age technology including thin aluminum, rounded edges and rivets. The minimalist aesthetics harken to a lost era of innocence when people didn't need lids or… Full review

GSI Infinity Insulated Mug

rated 3 of 5 stars Overall it's not a bad mug, it's just not perfect. Was purchased as a lightweight mug for day-hiking and backpacking use for a coffee addict. Pros: lightweight, lid fits securely but isn't impossible to get on and off, outer insulated sleeve slides off/on easily, size of the mug isn't too big around for my stubby fingers, volume it holds is perfect, relatively easy to clean plastic mug and lid (haven't washed sleeve). Cons: handle is too big/floppy to safely use as a true mug handle, you always… Full review

Jacob Bromwell Classic Stainless Steel Cup 32oz

rated 1.5 of 5 stars The Jacob Bromwell Classic Stainless Steel Cup (size Large) is a functional option for the budget minded outdoors person. Weighing in at only 3.18 ounces and holding up to a full Liter of fluid, it makes a reasonable all-in-one cook pot and eating container including enough space to hold your fuel canister and mini-stove between stops. Here are some basics about this cup: Diameter: 4.29" Height: 3.98" Volume: 1L to the top, though that likely means it's more like 900 mL of useable volume or so. Full review

GSI Gourmet Nesting Mug and Bowl

rated 5 of 5 stars Great, multi purpose mug. I actually went buy the MSR version of this mug, but when I went to the store, I saw this at a much lower price and gave it a shot. 2-3 years later, it's going strong and gets a lot of use. The end sip holes takes getting used to a bit (and maybe a dribble or two), but it works well and the lid stays on securely but yet comes off easily. The bowl/mug combo of this is great and compact. Food (or booze) for bowl/cup, hot drink for the mug. Or the other way around, it's really… Full review

GSI Ultralight Nesting Bowl and Mug

rated 5 of 5 stars Perfect sized kit for the individual backpacker. Cup holds around 16-20 oz of your favorite hot beverage and the bowl holds the same. The neoprene sleeve around the cup keeps the hot liquid from burning your hands and helps retain some of the heat. The total package weighs in at a little over 4 oz. I've been using this setup for years and have never found the need to change it. My girls were using a different setup with a separate bowl and cup that didn't nest and they've since each bought one of… Full review
