If you have not heard of it the Delorme Atlas and Gazetteer is an indispensable tool for the outdoors person when planning an outing! It is chock full of places to go for every type of outdoor activity, from where to camp including amenities at the campgrounds, places of interest for site seeing, places to hunt and fish including species of interest, whether or not there are boat ramps and types of motors and horse power allowed.

There is just too much to mention here. You have to thumb through one yourself to see all the info that it has to offer. They are available at Walmart and numerous other outdoor stores as well as on the Internet for $15 to $20+ and less if you don't mind a used one available on Amazon.

I got my first over 20 years ago and my current version is almost 10 years old. They are updated ever few years or so and I will b getting a new one soon! You won't be sorry and will thank me if the battery ever dies in your device of choice while in planning mode!

I whole heartedly second your recommendation of the DeLorme Atlas & Gazetteers, Roger! I actually was looking at one of ours at lunch today. They are great resources. I've even bought them for relatives for their own states. You (and others) should know that Garmin bought DeLorme early last year. It's not clear what will happen with the paper maps, though they are still being sold at Garmin and you can see the copyright version date for each, some of which are as of 2017. Hopefully they'll continue: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/575993
