The North Face Ice Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars Phenomenal jacket. Nice jacket. I would compare this jacket to a classic Carhartt coat, but this North Face jacket is even better. Very tough shell material, thick down insulation. Unfortunately I believe the North Face discontinued this jacket. Also I hear a rumor that the North Face took the McMurdo Parka and lightened the outside shell material. Too bad because the North Face and the other overpriced mountaineering companies already make plenty of worthless lightweight down and synthetic fill… Full review

The North Face Men's McMurdo Parka

2010 model was awesome. I tried this parka on in the store many times. It had a very tough/ heavy duty shell material. Unfortunately I heard the 2014/2015 McMurdo Parka, the North Face lightened up the outside shell material. There are extremely few parkas I have found that have this tough of a shell material and are well insulated. Carhartt comes to mind, but Carhartt does not have insulated parkas at 34 inches long (except for the discontinued Kalkaska Parka). Anyway, it is very depressing because… Full review

Canada Goose Men's Snow Mantra Parka

rated 5 of 5 stars Perfect parka! Just wish it was even much warmer. Where I live, even if it never freezes, I wear my CG Snow Mantra from end of September till April. With two giant mohair sweater. Despite all this, I am never warm enough. So my dream would be a Snow Mantra for minus 100°C, much thicker and with complete fur inside, sleeves included. Maybe once my dream will come true. Marmot Women's Jena Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars I love this jacket. It is very lightweight and very warm. I've worn it a number of times out hiking. It is thin and every time it gets caught on something I think I will see feathers flying. But not one hole in it. I think it does run a little small in size. I ended up getting a size larger so I could layer up. It stays in place and has good arm range when you're reaching and pulling up on a trail. My only complaint would be it's no wind stopper. On a recent camping trip the wind was awful. I put… Full review

Mountain Hardwear Men's Ghost Whisperer Hooded Down Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars A super light and deceptively warm down sweater. Moderately roomy cut allows some layering underneath. In keeping with the jacket's absurdly light weight, the nylon is extremely light, and zippers feel almost fragile. Does exactly what it is intended to do, and should be a keeper. These are my initial impressions of this down sweater, a new purchase. I'll have to wear it more to assess some aspects of how it performs. So far, I'm very pleased with it. The Weight: This jacket is so light that it… Full review

Rab Men's Snowpack Jacket

rated 3 of 5 stars This is my 1st Rab product and as there was no other review on T-Space of this item I will post my two cents worth. I got this aimed at ski and snowboard use (after all it's called a Snowpack!), but was disappointed in the lack of ski features, no inner mesh dump pockets, not outside mp-3 pocket, no snow skirt, and I could not zip up the collar when wearing a ski helmet (large or XL helmet.) I am 5-10, 175 lbs. I tried the medium size first. It was a little tight under the arms, but overall decent… Full review

Kuhl Flyby Down Jacket

rated 2.5 of 5 stars Down seeps through the seams. Warm and cozy jacket. Long sleeves. It is a form-fitting jacket. I bought my regular size and it fit like a glove. I can't wear another layer under it besides a T-shirt. Long sleeves, small but compact hood (both are a plus for my body, might not be as desirable for someone else as the sleeves are long!). I haven't worn it in the rain, so I don't know how it holds up to rain. In fact, I haven't worn it when it snowed either. It breathes well. It wicks away moisture. Full review

Outdoor Research Transcendent Hoody

rated 5 of 5 stars Killer down jacket and a great fit! I’ve had many a down jacket in my time and the Transcendant stands among the best I’ve tried! The hood is perfect for keeping me extra warm while still providing great visibility and movement, and fits over my climbing and ski helmets. The color selections are rad too! Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Incandescent Hoody

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great for climbing/belaying. Warm. Light. Simply wow! Bought this jacket last year just in time for a whole week at -42 degrees Celsius in Banff, AB. This thing kept me warm the whole time! Great for rock and ice climbing because of it double zipper feature, which is awesome when belaying. It can also pack inside of its own pocket to about the size of a 2L Nalgene bottle and weighs virtually nothing at all. Bottom line.. warmest, most packable and efficient down jacket out there!  Full review
