Aqua Quest Trail Map Case

A lightweight relatively durable and excellently waterproof case for your most important navigation aid—a map! It has versatile clip/carry options, large enough for a full trip-worth of maps, and can protect other devices like your phone. A worthy companion for wet weather trips with only some loose threads showing after 9 months of solid use - and Aqua Quest honored the warranty and sent a replacement. A one minute review... I was looking for a sturdy map case last year in preparation for a walk… Full review

Sea to Summit TPU Guide Accessory Case

Mostly waterproof and still fits into PFD pocket, but fiddly and pricey. I've had this phone case for 3 (?+) years, used while kayaking (carried usually in PFD pocket, so suffered the occasional full submersion, as well as getting banged around). Nice workmanship and design (few [none?] other soft cases are certified beyond IPx7), and I particularly like the fact that the zip goes along the long side of the phone, and gets rolled up tightly against it. This makes for a compact package that can get… Full review

E-Case eSeries 9.5

Watertight, easy to close, doesn't interfere with phone's capacitive touch features nor camera. Hard to see through case when using around salt water (dried salt deposits do wash off easily however). This case is water tight (I've only tested it in 5 foot swimming pools, tested for about an hour, bone dry phone inside) and easy to close (think large ziplock bag). Capacitive touch works perfect through case's plastic. My phone actually seems to respond better when it is touch through this case. Love… Full review

Travelon Clear View Waterproof Pouch

We specifically purchased four for our current Orlando visit (think water park and swimming pools). We only used one day so far, in Typhoon Lagoon. Well, it worked for three phones, but my daughter's HTC One's bag allowed water sometime within 3 hours of use and almost ruined her phone. We tested these out the night before the first use and all seemed good, so I think it must be the seal that failed. Full review

Travelon Clear View Waterproof Pouch

It ruined my phone: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CASE I used it twice and it worked okay. It wasn't easy to use the phone like they claim it is. The third time I used it I sealed it exactly how you're supposed to and noticed water was getting on my phone. I think it was condensation being that the phone is electronic and it gets hot. If you're going to use this around water you shouldn't. You need to get one of the hard huge cases because this pouch is so thin I didn't even think about it. The design is… Full review

LokSak aLokSak

Heavy duty waterproof plastic storage bag designed for carrying items you want to ensure do not get exposed to the elements (rain, dust, snow, humidity, sand, etc.). This write up is a complement to the LOKSAK OPSAK write up I've also provided. I originally bought these aLOKSAKs thinking they'd work for my food storage, but the food odors were coming through so I ended up going back and getting the OPSAK for that purpose. For my 3.5-day backpacking trip, I used these aLOKSAKs for carrying the items… Full review

LokSak OPSAK

Heavier duty plastic storage bag designed to block odors. Can be used for food storage, trash hauling and dirty clothes. A lighter weight option for backpacking when you're more concerned about critters getting into your food than bears. In mid-July I was joining a buddy of mine for a few days during his through hike of the Colorado Trail. When I met up with him prior to the trip he showed me these OPSAKs he had for food storage. They claimed to block food odors and from what we'd read regarding… Full review

Ortlieb Snack Pack

Lightweight and waterproof food grade storage. OK, I have just bought two A6 and two A5 Ortlieb snack packs. The two A6 (passport size) are for storing fresh loose leaf tea and the other one is for storing fresh coffee. These Ortlieb snack packs are food grade plastic. They look the same as the Ortlieb map case. They have the same roll top velcro fastening and black and silver cord, which if you don't wear it around your neck you can take it off and save about 6 grams. Which brings me to the weight. Dry Pak GPS/PDA/Smart Phone Case

Great little pouch for protecting your cellphone or GPS unit. I bought this item to use on my overnight canoe trip down the Delaware River this past spring. I wanted to protect my phone but still have it accessible to take photos or to check the GPS.   It worked perfectly! I used the lanyard and clipped the pouch to the front of my PFD. I was able to use the touch screen through the clear plastic front and I even could take pictures with my phone still inside the pouch. I have a  MotoX and use… Full review
