Summary

This is a great hammock. I got it as my first hammock after doing a ton of research on the various types of hammocks. The ENO SingleNest kept coming up as a top notch hammock so I got it. I would recommmend it to any new hammock-ers.

Pros

  • High quality materials
  • Folds up into a bag that is incorporated in the hammock
  • Storage bag can be used as a bag for small belongings while in hammock

Cons

  • Hanging setup is not ideal
  • Hanging materials not included

Setup is great. You'll need to get some cord, I used para-cord, or some other type of hanging cord. Just throw the cord around the tree or whatever and attach the carabiners that came with the hammock. Very simple but the cords can slip from objects or cause major sag in the hammock. I would recommend looking into Whoopie Slings if you are getting any type of hammock.

Stability depends upon where you setup and how you setup. It has blown me around in the wind, but not enough to knock me out of it.

There is lots of room in the hammock for one person and a few pockets of junk. More that likely you will have to hang your camping gear from a tree, if you don't want it on the ground all night. The entire hammock rolls up into a small bag about the size of a large grapefruit. It can get bulky if you are backpacking long distances, but it is far better than carrying a tent.

The materials are top notch and have shown no signs of wear after a year of use. I think it will last a long time.
