Early Winters

Early Winters was created in 1972 by William S. Nicolai in Seattle, WA. Specializing in tents and mountain parkas, Early Winters was the first company to create and sell products using Gore-Tex.  The company was sold to Orvis in 1984 and then purchased at an unknown time by the Norm Thompson group in Portland, OR who renamed the company "Sahalie" in 2004.
