After many years of walking around town, hiking with my 2 scouts, and just being outside I've come to the conclusion that there is no better made shoes or boots than Ecco!
This boot is extremely comfortable, although a bit warm inside on a hot day. With Gore-Tex, you can stand in water 2" deep and be dry. The lateral support is excellent. The support and footbed will take on a wide variety of terrain. On every trail I've been on (and even the mall with the missus) never had a problem.

Best boots I've ever had; 5 years and like new. These babies don't wear out! Why did ECCO quit making such an awesome boot?
Well, maybe for the obvious reason that you'd never have to buy another pair in your lifetime.
If you can find them. Buy them!
