Here's what other sites are saying:
From EMS:
"What does backcountry mean? It is doing jump-turns down an epic 60 chute in chest-deep hold-your-breath powder, or weathering a "nor'-easter blow" ten miles from the nearest hut. Yep, with Gore-Tex protection, underarm vents, and a snow skirt, this noninsulated outer shell is built for it. Nylon soft shell with plastisol-ink embossing on shoulders for antislippage when wearing shoulder straps. Slight two-way stretch in back fabric for greater mobility. Gore-Tex blocks out snow and water while letting water vapors from within (sweat) escape. Underarm vents can be zipped open when you need to chill. All zippers are fused (no stitching) to keep out moisture. Snow skirt snaps around your waist to keep out snow. Curved front pockets can be accessed even when a waist belt is worn. Zip-off hood; adjustable cuffs; hem drawcord."
