I purchased this pack in a package that included a sleeping bag and trail pad (for a total of under $200 if my memory serves me well). It was the deal of the century! This is very durable, has good adjustability for comfort and well though compartments for convenience. I do not use hydration bladders so the absence of such a compartment was not an issue for me but might be for others. This is not an "Ultra-Light" but is reasonably light and an excellent pack for beginners that can serve them well for many, many years to come.
