A small, usable light that is a jack of all trades, master of none.

Pros

  • Small/lightweight
  • Lens options
  • Doesn't fulfill a specific need

Cons

  • Doesn't fulfill a specific need

I purchased this light on an impulse at Whole Earth Provisions. It's a much smaller throwback to the old style, 90 degree military flashlights. Energizer considers it to be "tactical."

The two primary functions I use it for are tent reading (using the clip on the back attached to my tent's 'attic') and night hiking. When attached to my chest strap it provides good additional light and compliments my headlamp nicely. The real bonus is having two methods of lighting both being hands free.

The back clip, which is removable, has magnets on the back. This feature recently came in handy when I had to change the starter on my truck.

The bottom is where the blue, green, and red lens caps are stored. They screwed on top of one another, pancake style, and reliably attach to the bottom of the light.

I paid full retail for this light, which was $35, but it can be found cheaper online.
