User Review: Eureka! Assault
Rating: ![]()
Design: Dome
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: Easy Set-Up
Weight: 8-9lbs
Price Paid: $250 Ebay
This tent has been fantastic. Good layout. Two vestibules are large enough to hold all gear for 2-3 week trip for two during bad weather. Has been excellent in HEAVY rain. My wife and I spent 36 hours during a driving rain storm in our Assault dry and happy. Seems to be holding up well. Have used on several 1-3 week trips summer through fall (no snow camping)
Lessons learned:
1. Do not use a tarp/other impermeable ground cover under the tent in wet conditions (water pools and evenutally will soak through the floor, where without a tarp it runs away and does not soak through).
2. Do seal the seams. Easy job and makes the critter completely water tight.
