U.S. Military CFP 90

rated 4 of 5 stars Another fine military item that has already been reviewed on Trailspace. I just wanted to back up what's already been said. I'll cover the camo colors, negative aspect of large-capacity and some low costs. I was hoping to find the way to leave a comment but for whatever reason, when scrolling down to find the comment section, none of that ever shows up, although on the published reviews, I see that readers can make comments.  The only thing that shows on my computer is "write a review," so this… Full review

The North Face Fusion

rated 5 of 5 stars 20 years on...still a great pack! I still use it all the time. It's extremely durable so I can't imagine what brainchild was doing to it in 2002 to kill it so quickly. No issues. Fantastic backpack. Full review

Gregory Baltoro 85

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great pack, comfy, packs a ton and super durable. Have had mine for going on two years and I've abused it without running into any issues. It's also super easy to customize, gear stows are intuitive and extremely functional. I would recommend this pack for anyone who is OK with making the tradeoff of weight for utility. Only have two real gripes. First is the waterproof hip-pouch is not large enough to stash a GPS device (e.g. DeLorme) or a smartphone; and second is that the hanging mechanism for… Full review

Gregory Baltoro 85

rated 4.5 of 5 stars That great Gregory fit and quality. This is a freighter pack that fits like a glove. I typically carry 55- to 70-lb loads and I've tried a few other brands, but none match Gregory for comfort and stability with big loads. The padding is firm and doesn't bottom-out under big loads. The bag design and suspension combine to keep the load stable and close to my back. The waist belt anchors the load solidly to my hips without having to reef on it. The pockets and water bottle pouch are really well designed… Full review

CiloGear 75L WorkSack

rated 1.5 of 5 stars My experience with Cilo was about the same as the OP who made a review under the Cuben fiber model. I found many complaints and reviews online regarding Cilo's lack of responses. A few years ago when I purchased my pack they were very responsive to purchase and then unresponsive to my calls, emails, or FB posts seeking their directive, and when they did respond they wanted to argue or prove that they responded. My experience with Cilo was about the same as the OP who made a review under the Cuben… Full review

CiloGear 75L W/NWD WorkSack

rated 0.5 of 5 stars The most horrible backpack ever!! Hello, Cilogear team, I tested your most expensive bag in the Himalayas on an expedition to Ama dablam for one month. This bag is the most uncomfortable bag I have worn in my mountaineering career. I wonder if you have field tested it? The shoulder straps bit into my shoulders and caused the blood supply to stop to my hands. It's in fact a dangerous bag and can lead to accidents on the mountain. I am sending you the video soon. I spent lot of money on this and could… Full review

Gregory Baltoro 75 GZ

rated 4.5 of 5 stars What's not to like?! A reputable solar charger, conveniently built-in to the top lid of an already proven trail-worthy backpack! Separately, both Gregory and Goal Zero are reliable, durable, and functional. Together, they are a distance hiker's match made in heaven. No muss, no fuss...drop the pull-down lid of the neatly integrated Goal Zero and the solar panels convert the sun's rays to stored or usable energy. I already own and enjoy Gregory backpacks, so when I learned of the Baltoro GZ 75 collaborative...I… Full review

Arc'teryx Bora 80

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This pack is the best. I bought mine ten years ago and use it a lot and it has never let me down. Its one problem is that it isn't waterproof and doesn't come with a rain cover because it is supposed to be waterproof. In my opinion the pros of this pack outweigh this one issue. I've had this bag now for ten years. It's the best! I traveled for work in northern BC and Alberta for a few years using it as my main bag, hiked with it on multi-day jungle treks, day hikes in BC, had it strapped to the… Full review

CiloGear 75L W/NWD WorkSack

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Horrible, painful, uncomfortable, miserable! I have tested expensive bag 75L W/NWD bag $1500 in the Himalayas on an expedition to Ama Dablam for 1 month. This bag is the most uncomfortable bag I have worn in my mountaineering career. I wonder if you have field tested it? The shoulder straps bit into my shoulder, causing intense pain and caused the blood supply to stop to my hands. It's in fact a dangerous bag and can lead to accidents on the mountain. I covered more than 80 miles with this backpack,… Full review
