Feathered Friends is arguably the finest sleeping bag manufacturer out there. I have owned and spent many nights sleeping in Western Mountaineering, Marmot, TNF, Snowlion (any one remember them!?) and Mountain Hardwear bags and IMHO Feathered Friends is either no. 1 or tied for no. 1 with Western Mountaineering. WM makes a slightly lighter more compact bag for the temp rating but FF construction details are superb...well almost. The only flaw that I have experienced on the four FF bags I have owned is the infamous zipper snagging. I have modified my technique over the years to limit the occurance but it does happen from time to time.
The temp rating was a little on the low side for me but not by much and realistically your comfort level can vary throughout the night based on many factors. With a down jacket and fleece pants I slept in relative comfort at an unexpected -20. The fit is about spot on for me (5'9" 160) and even allowed my usual "fetal" position.
The only downside to a FF bag is that with care you will never wear it out so make sure you get what you need and want or you will end up with multiple bags. Not a bad way to go but it can get expensive. I still have a FF bag from 1973 that is still serviceable and has had a through hike of the PCT and hundred of other nights outdoors in addition to being my bedding for college.
Treat yourself and live a little.......
