User Review: Filson Highlander
Use: rough trail/mud/snow
Break-in Period: none
Price Paid: $300
I feel that filson really cut corners when they included tin cloth in their tongue system. They leak at the gusset. The leather is good quality and I think the wool used to insulate was good. I administer 43 reservoirs on national forest and I use them in all types of weather and in rough terrain. The seam at the top of the tin cloth is uncomfortable and they sewed a wrinkle in the tongue of one. They will get these back. I think they would be a great boot at half the current price.
