User Review: Filson Highlander

Rating: rated 2 of 5 stars
Materials: Leather and wool
Use: Hunting chuckar and deer
Break-in Period: unknown
Price Paid: $300

I had these boots for one hunting season and never felt comfortable in them. The leather was of excellent quality, but the tongue had Filson's tin cloth on the sides which folded oddly and caused pain in my ankles. Also the leather lining folded oddly and poked my heels, causing blisters even after the boots were "broken in". I also didn't like the design of the boot in that the heel seemed too high and the front end too narrow. I would suggest Filson, keep the leather, but start from scratch with a new design.
