User Review: Five Ten Sapphire
|
Rating: ![]()
Materials: C4 soles, leather upper
Use: climbing
Break-in Period: none
Price Paid: $90
This is a pretty good all-around climbing shoe. It's comfortable, great for long routes -- I've worn mine for 12 straight pitches. The dual pull-on loops are nice as well. The only problem is that the spot where the rubber meets the leather tends to become detatched pretty quickly, like within a few days at J-Tree. And, as with all the 5.10's I've owned, the rubber wears down relatively quickly, as in, I blew through the toe in two months of daily climbing. I'd recommend it for folks who are just starting to climb, or want a good comfortable shoe for long routes.
