Scott Hawaii Makaha

The Scott Hawaii Makaha slipper is perfect for Hawaii living. Quality construction and with the simple color combo that I appreciate. My previous pair lasted three years of everyday wearing. Also, the toe edge does not stick out very far beyond my toes which greatly decreases tripping potential! I have been looking for a simple black slipper with a white arch layer in all the regular surf shops for two months and the ONLY company that had EXACTLY what I wanted was right here in Hawaii (I live on… Full review

Scott Hawaii Makaha

Sturdy, good-fitting flip flop that is relatively inexpensive and comfortable for extended wear. Solid sole/midsole with a more forgiving top layer, bomb-proof nylon straps that will never pull out. These have decent traction, a looser fit, and are extremely durable. Scott has been making flip-flops for eighty years in Hawaii—they’re clearly doing something right. Scott’s website tells an interesting story about a shoemaker who relocated to Hawaii and opened a factory in 1932; World War II… Full review

OluKai Hokua

Comfortable, beefy, pricy flip-flop. They have solid arch support, a thick, grippy sole, soft footbed, and reasonably wide straps that make them comfortable to wear "around" or walking on most surfaces and trails. I found these benefit from a little break-in. Though the price is steep, they should last a long time and are a comfortable, good-looking option. I am providing my initial impressions of my new flip-flops, the OluKai Hokua, having worn them for a few weeks and walked several miles in them. Full review

OOFOS OOlala Sandal

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I wear them every chance I get, even now that the rainy season has started in Portland. I was worried that they wouldn't hold up since they're essentially foam, but they still look brand-new after months of hiking through rocks and water, on pavement, and in the desert. The other day I was having some leg/foot pain from a pair of "barefoot" shoes I'd been trying out and remembered that OOFOS are sometimes called "recovery" shoes, so I put these on even… Full review

OOFOS OOriginal Sandal

I may never take these sandals off my feet, except maybe to climb in bed! As a member of another website, I am one of the lucky ones that is given products to test from time to time in exchange for a review. My husband, Hutch, and I each got a pair of the OOFOS OOriginal Sport Sandals and spent the last couple weeks hiking, cycling, and camping in them in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. These are not your average pair of flip flops…they are amazing! We may never take them off. What… Full review

OOFOS OOriginal Sandal

Overall, I have fallen in love with my OOFOS. They are great for day-to-day wear and amazing for recovery wear. The wide range of color choices means you can easily find a pair that will fit in with your style. As a member of another website, I get products to test from time to time in exchange for a review. On this trip, I tested the women’s OOriginal Sandal. The OOFOS sandals (or flip-flops, as I can’t help but call them) are kind of amazing. They claim to be recovery shoes. I had NO idea… Full review

Tredagain Guadalupe Sandal

Tredagain not only makes quality shoes, but they are environmentally aware while they make great footwear. Occasionally, I get the awesome opportunity to review products in exchange for an honest review. This time, I had the pleasure of testing out a pair of sandals by Tredagain! The Tredagain Guadalupe Sandal rocks out on their specialty...recycled rubber from tires. Here is a quote from their site about what they do: "TREDAGAIN partners with Austin Rubber Company LLC which manufactures a de-vulcanized… Full review

OOFOS OOlala Slide Sandal

This sandal is touted as a recovery sandal, but frankly I use it as an everything sandal. I walk the dog in them, use them at the beach, use them after running, use them around the house, use them at the campsite after a long day of hiking… they are so comfortable that I don’t really care to wear any other sandals. As mentioned above, I use these sandals for everything. They have been on all surfaces and help up very well. There was no break-in time needed. They have felt great from day one… Full review

OOFOS OOriginal Sport Sandal

Single purpose shoes that work perfectly for the role they were designed for. They are incredibly comfortable and help your feet recover but not useful outside of that type of situation. I would highly recommend it for athletes or hikers who will be spending long hours on their feet or putting their feet through high-intensity workouts. I got the Oofos sport sandals to review and tried them out on a recent several night camping trip which involved many miles of hiking. The first thing you notice… Full review
