Quite possibly the best glacier/mountaineering glasses made. The Julbo Explorers build on an already impressive history of quality from the French company. The Julbo Explorer is probably the best Julbo product I have used. As a professional wilderness adventure guide, ski guide, and mountain trek leader I have used numerous Julbo glasses over the years (25 to be precise) and the Explorers are the best I have ever used. The adjustability off the stems, and the bridge makes these have an exceptional… Full review

Great bang-for-your-buck glacier glasses. I used these glacier glasses daily for 45 days on an icefield expedition. Fit: They are comfortable under a helmet, beanie, or hat. These glasses run wide, so if you have a narrow face, consider trying them on before purchasing. The piece that goes behind your ears has a bendable wire in it that you can mold to whatever shape you like to make the glasses stay on better. The retention strap slides off easily as soon as your sunscreen lubes up the frame, so… Full review

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted a pair of Julbo glasses. For several decades I've wanted to own a pair of Julbo glasses. Not because they work so well, but because they look so good and so like "professional mountaineer" equipment. They were on special at one of the camping outlets, so I picked them up. The first thing I noted was these glasses are verrrrry big when folded — I did not have a glasses case that would fit them. The case they came in could carry a medium-sized camera… Full review

High altitude eye protection, style, and comfort win the day with the Julbo Explorer. I would recommend these glasses for hiking, trekking, biking, kayaking. Don't forget how important protecting your eyes in high UV light is!   I purchased these glasses for a trek to Mt. Everest in 2012. I bought them well ahead of time in order to test them out hiking in and around Vegas. I also used them kayaking, golfing, and biking. Notice the vents below the lens and near the temple. They are not as effective… Full review

These are great glasses for snow and glacier travel. I got these for snow and glacier travel and after several years of use they have not disappointed. The lightweight lenses are sufficiently dark, provide good protective coverage, and have side shields that can be removed if not needed or to provide more ventilation. They come with a lanyard and hard case.  Two sizes are available — Reg and XL, which was good for me, as the XL's had the best fit (my wide bridge always makes good fitting glasses… Full review

I recently bought these glasses at a closeout price. To be completely honest these are the best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned. the last few pairs of sunglasses I bought were Dragons and before that I had a couple pair of Oakleys. As far as for the money these glasses beat both of the brands that I had owned. I am a heavy biker and because these glasses have large lenses and guards on the sides they make them ideal for keeping the wind and bugs out of your eyes. Also the visual quality of… Full review

Durable. I have sort of a unique purpose for these. About 30 years ago I bought them because Opticus was making glass polarized prescription lenses in various tints. So I replaced the lenses on two pair, then affixed a bicycle rear view mirror to them (the Bike Peddler Take a Look Eyeglass Mirror) then used them for kayak racing on lakes and class 2 rivers. I still have them, they work perfectly but the leather has become stiff and the rubber end pieces had to be replaced.  Also my eyes have become… Full review

I still have and wear my Micropose. Bought them in1990. Still awesome shades. Only problem I have is the leather side shields are just wore out. Ordering new ones today. I love my Julbos. What else can I say? I have had them for 33 years  in July. They are still  rocking and still look stylish. Just flat out LOVE them!!! Full review

Excellent sunglasses for those times when we need high protection (snow, glaciers, heights). Thanks to its Spectron 4 lens and its anatomical frame, we will be protected from light in all environments. They are glasses that at first glance seem of low quality, since their plastic is very light and flexible. But, after using them for a long time, we appreciate that flexibility, since if they are harder, they would probably break inside the backpack or when we squeeze them with something. Apart from… Full review
