Very well made pack, comfortable and lightweight.

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: $90

Summary

Very well made pack, comfortable and lightweight.

Pros

  • Hydration bladder sleeve
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Side pockets
  • Elastic bungee on front
  • Hip belt and sternum strap

Cons

  • Shape of the suspension system makes pack seem smaller

This pack is great for day hikes, but it's definitely a "small" 20L pack.  The curved suspension system Gregory uses is great for ventilation and comfort, but the curved shape of the pack makes it more difficult to pack, and makes it seem smaller than it actually is.

I have used it for everything from short day trips, to school, to trail running/fast packing and its a great pack.  Just keep in mind that it tends to seem a little smaller than a usual 20L pack because of the curved suspension systems intrusion into the compartment.

Here's what other sites are saying:

Stripped down to the essentials, and super-lightweight, the Z20 Backpack from Gregory is a durable day-pack with 5 pockets-worth of storage space and the same, ventilated JetStream DTS suspension system found in larger packs. While your back is kept cool by the ventilated backpanel, strain is reduced on your shoulders by the Auto-Fit harness system that conforms to your back while the specialized frame increases load transfer to the waistbelt as the pack weight increases.
