Here's what other sites are saying:
From Backcountry.com:
"Any gear you trust your life to should be simple and efficient. The Grivel Helix Ice Screw has a very basic design that's easy to place and super strong. The Helix has a very positive first bite to get your placement started and a large knob so you can crank in the pro and move on. The symmetrical design, with the knob opposite the clipping hole, allows for easy racking so they don't take up your whole harness."
From US Outdoor Store:
"Grivel Helix Ice ScrewGrivel’s easiest ice screw. Easy to get the first bite in the ice thanks to its symmetrical grip. Easy to screw in thanks to the handle on the grip. Easy to attach a carabiner thanks to the shape of the ring. Easy to carry on the rack with a carabiner, even several at a time. You’ll find that Helix has all the fantastic qualities usually found in a Grivel screw, the ones that have made them famous worldwide and the reference in ice screws. The huge technological capacity and large quantities of production allow Grivel to offer a high quality product at an extremely competitive price. You won’t find anything else on the market with the same quality/cost ratio.Features:Inverted threadHydrodynamic thread"
From Moosejaw:
"Free Shipping. Grivel Helix Screw (Fall 2007) The Helix by Grivel, with its symmetrical hangar and grip, allows the user to put in-line force on the tube to make the teeth bite into the ice easily on the first turn. Helix is built on the same polished tube as 360. The tube s reverse profile threads eject ice outward and spread force over a greater surface area, these are hydrodynamic (radiused) to reduce friction. Helix racks conveniently (we ve seen as many as six on a single biner). The hanger does not articulate as much as 360 so it cannot be placed in the same odd locations but the Helix hanger does lift away from bulges so little surface ice must be cleared to facilitate placement. Helix offers a fantastic quality/cost ratio."
