Hennessy Hammock Safari Deluxe Asym Zip

rated 5 of 5 stars Amazing. Put it up in 5 minutes and in the dark the first time I ever used it. So comfortable. With serious cervical spine issues I got better sleep in this than on my 800$ Tempurpedic. It got as low as 20 degrees f that night and snowed and I was warm in an old military bag and amazingly comfortable. I will never buy a different brand hammock for a serious camping hammock. Maybe some parachute hammocks etc for fun around the house, but not for the AT or anything. See storyline and pros above. Full review

Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A great deal on a decent lightweight hammock. After enjoying a post-hike hang in a buddy's hammock my last time out, I'd been thinking of getting a lightweight hammock. I ran across the Grand Trunk Ultralight at Cabela's for $19.99 and couldn't resist.  Unlike the reviews below, mine came with a suspension.   The hammock itself is polyester, 114" long, 54" wide, and weighs in at 12.2 oz. including the two S-hooks which weigh 1 oz each.  The integrated stuff sack serves as a pocket while hung. Grand Trunk Single Parachute Nylon Hammock

rated 5 of 5 stars A luxury item that is well worth the weight. After a night sleeping on a hard shelter floor I looked for alternatives and hammocks seemed like a good idea. Those really nice high end backpacking hammock systems with netting and flies were what I wanted, but I couldn't justify the cost. I bought the Grand Trunk lightweight hammock, but it was just a bit small so I upgraded to this hammock. I only use it during warm weather but I've slept very comfortably under the stars on dry nights and hanging… Full review

Yukon Outfitters Mosquito Hammock

rated 4 of 5 stars This affordable hammock is great if you are looking for a compact, lightweight, bug-free system. I've used this hammock in as low as 30° with a tent footprint overhead (not included) + Therm-a-Rest, and most recently in a camping trip to the Florida Keys. The screen kept the tiny (and annoying) no-see-ums out and was great for catching a breeze at night. I sit in it like a swing chair during the day and am going to start bringing it to picnics. Pair it with a lightweight tarp and couple of quick… Full review

Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A basic hammock. Not great, but not bad either. The material seems somewhat plastic-ish, sort of like the material that cheap tents are made of, but maybe slightly better. I felt like I was going to fall through it the first time that I sat in it (and most times since), but I've slept in it a few nights so far, and it's worked flawlessly. I have a larger parachute-type hammock that feels much more stable, durable, is much larger, and is significantly more comfortable in my opinion, but it's also… Full review

Therm-a-Rest Slacker Single Hammock

rated 3 of 5 stars Therm-a-Rest's Slacker Hammock is a an entry level addition to the mainstream appeal of hammock hanging. Available in single and double versions, the Slacker is best for the novice hanger looking to slack off in the backyard. Those who have used other hammocks will quickly realize the Slacker is not as comfortable as other brands and definitely not suited for backcountry camping. Better options are readily available. About the Reviewer: I started hammock hanging approximately 5 years ago and now… Full review

Hennessy Hammock Deep Jungle Assym Zip

rated 5 of 5 stars A three-season hammock that can easily be modified for winter use. Great construction, excellent design, and superior customer service! If you’re either a hammock sleeper, or looking for alternatives to ground sleeping, the HH Deep Jungle doesn’t fall short in any aspect! Home, sweet comfortable home... Who said hammocks give that claustrophobic feeling?  “It’s a tent…It’s a hammock…It’s a Chair… It’s a lounger… It’s Super Shelter!” The Hennessy Hammock Deep Jungle is… Full review

Hammeck ENVY-S

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is a multi tool of a hammock that can be used year around. From the Hammeck Web site..... The Envy-S is our premium sewn-channel gathered end hammock, complete with the integrated Peekaboo system, a hybrid cover/bugnet. In the cooler months, the Peekaboo can be closed to aid in retaining body heat. Or, it can be cracked if venting is necessary. In warmer weather, the Peekaboo can be opened up to increase airflow without sacrificing insect protection. The Peekaboo is made from black fabric. Full review

Clark NX-250

rated 5 of 5 stars Fantastic and innovative product. I have the NX-250 with their largest tarp and hoop poles. I love it. Made area change to it that really helped. Took out rope and put in climbing loops with carabiners and tree straps from ENO. Goes up in less than a minute and carabiners do better job stopping water running down straps. Tarp would be better if it was about one foot longer and two foot wider, but it is unbeatable like it is. Hoop poles just a bonus. Goose, hope these help. I didn't put up tarp… Full review
