ZebraLight H600 MK II

rated 5 of 5 stars The H600 MK II is a nearly indestructible headlamp, providing a blinding 1,090 Lumens of light. Combine that with its long battery life and feather weight, and you will be stunned to learn it retails for hundreds of dollars less than its less powerful competitors! Zebra Light is taking the caving community by storm, and it won't be long until that tempest pours into all outdoor sports. Consider these four factors: It puts out 2-4 times the light of a typical headlamp. It costs a fraction of less… Full review

Petzl Zipka

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Zipka 2 is a great little, and I do mean little, headlamp that will serve hikers who are not prone to find themselves walking long after dusk. And for almost two years my little Zipka has traveled with me every time I've been out. The Zipka is well suited for around camp chores, late night latrine trips and reading a book in the hammock. When I replace this one it will be with the latest model, I simply love it. I've carried the Zipka every time out for a year and it's never let me down. It's… Full review

Cyclops Atom

rated 4 of 5 stars Headlamps can be used for hobbies, projects, and fun stuff to do. Outdoors and gear. It is a staple item of gear among outdoor enthusiasts. ALL LAMPS HAVE A DIFFERENT SPECTRA OF LIGHT!!! This is the Cyclops Atom-XP-LED HeadlampI purchased this new at the sporting goods store ... it's¬†inexpensive but good! I am not biased about the headlamp. It is easy and quick! You cannot go wrong with this light. This Cyclops Atom XP Led Headlamp is designed for tactical or everyday needs. It is fairly¬†sturdy… Full review

Petzl Tikka R+

rated 4 of 5 stars Great headlamp that excels in technical use. The reactive lighting is extremely helpful at conserving maximum battery for navigation even after 11 hours of use, and it also works great for down climbing through technical terrain. I have had this headlamp for six months and used it for climbing, running, and camping. The controls are confusing at first so make sure a staff member shows you how they work. It's the second of Peztl's Reactive series of lights. Reactive lighting uses a photo sensor that… Full review

Princeton Tec Fuel

rated 4 of 5 stars The Princeton Tec Fuel is an inexpensive headlamp with a reputation of having the battery door break on users. This user has carried the Fuel for nearly two years on numerous backpacking/camping trips and has found it to be a lot of light for a little price. The Con Everyone Complains of: Let's get right to the con, because that seems to be the issue most talked about. Yes, the battery door requires a delicate touch. If you know that when you buy it, you should be all right. However, the Fuel has… Full review

Pelican 2750 LED Headlamp

rated 3 of 5 stars Great light, crap band. This would be my favorite headlamp, but the band started to rip the first day. I have repaired it with a needle and some braided fishing line but would prefer it to be a little more rugged on its own. Full review

Black Diamond Gizmo

rated 2 of 5 stars Hands down the poorest quality headlamp I have ever used. A flimsy, nearly paper-thin plastic housing makes this unit one battery change away from unusable. Before White Nose Syndrome precipitated the closure of state and Federally owned caves in Illinois, I provided an outdoor education course on caves to public and private schools. The culmination of this course was a 4-hour trip to Illinois Caverns. Although I limit trip sizes to only one classroom, I must still provide helmets and headlamps… Full review

Leatherman LED Lenser SEO7 Headlamp

rated 5 of 5 stars 160 lumens of rechargeable power, multiple light functions, water resistant and light enough for most applications, best light out there in my opinion. Variable beam, adjustable focus, 5-hour burn time on 200 lumens, 20 hours on 20 lumens, water resistant, 3-1/2 hours to recharge battery, will take triple AAA batteries as well. Full review

Princeton Tec Vizz

rated 2.5 of 5 stars Frustrating product. Would not recommend. This headlamp has the listed FEATURES as are advertised, but are useless when the lamp fails to light. The batteries DO NOT last anywhere near what they claim. There is NO WAY I get HOURS out of each set of batteries, and I use alkaline, exactly what they recommend. And I do not mix old with new. I use my lamp when I go to my barn after dark. Total time of usage would be 10 to 20 minutes each trip. I am lucky to get three trips before batteries die. PTEC… Full review
