Ledlenser MH2

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great headlamp that packs a punch with dual focusing beams. As a member of another website, I get the amazing opportunity to review products that have been given to me in exchange for an honest review. This time, I won a Ledlenser MH2 headlamp in a contest. Wow...just wow! What a headlamp! This thing is amazing. I recently tested a Ledlenser MT10 flashlight, and it rocked. Its cousin, the MH2 headlamp, was no exception. Their specialty is something called the Advanced Focus System which is a combo… Full review

Princeton Tec Remix

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Decent headlamp. Owned for a few years. Didn't do a ton of research, other than I didn't want to spend a ton on a headlamp for how little I use them. This item has served me well. Solid illumination and pretty comfortable on the head. Light is adjustable up and down to help project beam (I especially like this when gathering small sticks). Easy to pack. Have only replaced batteries once in 3-4 years and 7-8 nights of use. Happy with it. Full review

TAC5 HDL-1200

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The TAC5 headlamp is great for for hiking, fishing, military, law enforcement and security, roadside safety, and many other uses. The TAC5 Headlamp provides users with an incredibly bright hands-free light. The TAC5 headlamp provides over 100,000 hours of light, is made of aircraft grade aluminum construction, and has five modes of operation (high, medium, low, strobe, and SOS). I was looking for a long time for the ultimate headlight as I do a lot of my activities in the dark, not to mention diving. Full review

Fenix HL60R

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This powerful and rechargeable headlamp both packs a punch, and has efficient settings for the outdoors-person that wants a rechargeable device. This headlamp is ideal for first responders, night hikers, or anyone who wants a variety of power settings. The Fenix HL60 headlamp is an excellent piece of gear that fits many criteria for the serious outdoors-person. The price point (I paid $75) is well worth justifying this piece of gear. Specifications: Weight: 51g/5.25oz (with battery) 5 Output modes,… Full review

Ledlenser MH10

rated 4.5 of 5 stars I recently went camping at Desoto State Park in North Alabama and got to try out the Ledlenser MH10 in exchange for a review as a member of another site. Overall I was really happy with the headlamp and impressed with how powerful and easy to use it was. At the brightest level it puts out some serious light and when focused can shine long distances even in the darkest conditions. We used the light around the campground and had to actually keep it on a lower setting so it wouldn’t blind anyone. Full review

Ledlenser MH2

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This sturdy, well built, headlamp is great for tasks around the house, car, or camp. It’s a no-frills, get-the-job-done light. This sturdy, well built, headlamp is great for tasks around camp. It is not incredibly bright at 100 lumens, but it’s a no-frills, get-the-job-done light. You can twist the front to go from soft 15 lumen light to the more direct spot of the 100 lumens. It’s lightweight at a little over 6 oz and has an excellent price point, for its qualities, of $25. It provided plenty… Full review

Petzl Tikka+

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The ability to leave batteries behind and have a consistent amount of light with an accurate battery read is invaluable. Recent models of this headlamp have been upgraded to have a lower profile and more balanced design. The price for the Core rechargeable battery addition to access its best features is a bit of a detraction. Regardless, it's a reliable, bright, lightweight headlamp and it's nice to have the option. The settings are also programmable, to keep track of the amount of light over… Full review

Black Diamond Icon Polar

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Been using the 200 lumens edition. Great balance between battery life and brightness. Headlamp is best for usage in cold weather—even during the spring and fall. Unless one is needing a floodlamp to light up the whole woods, this will do for most every backpacker. I've been using the 200 lumens edition. I got it originally because I was tired of all other types of lights being either dim and having a low battery life or bright with no battery life. I would highly recommend this headlamp. The separate… Full review

Ledlenser MH10

rated 5 of 5 stars Great headlamp for camping. It is very powerful lighting several meters around you. It includes a red and green lense filters for observing the wildlife. Has a long battery life. The light does get a little warm and the battery makes it a touch heavier than cheaper headlamps, but the quality is worth the tradeoff. As a member of another website I sometimes get items to review. I received the MH10 and took it out to the Purtis Creek State Park. Once the sun went down, I fired it up and had a full… Full review
