Helsport Svalbard 3

rated 5.0 of 5 stars

I should say the 8 stars tent (I love it)!!! bought only 749 euros (Vieux Campeur, Paris, France) a real vault! maybe the best tent in the world...made for every kind of climate and ground (except maybe grounds like those u can find in the the quicky vanishing pockets of rainforest of Borneo..then it's better to get a tent-hamac) anyway u can still protect the ground of the inner tent and the very large storage entrance bringing 1 or 2 (2x3m) additional strong and lightweight waterproof ground/wall/roof with ur equipment...this tent can be used even in a dry and windy very cold or very hot desert if u known of course how to survive there and when and where to put ur tent....
a great logical idea in the conception of that tent: first u put the totally proof dome (and u really have to train a bit especially if u're alone) then u just jump in it with ur backpack and u 're safe!...even under very bad weather conditions I think u can completely put the dome in less than 20 minutes if u're well organized...for me (I like comfort and space) it is not really a 3 people tent (the svalbard 3 is good for 2...the svalbard 5 good for 3-4 people). with a very good ventilation system, the inner tent is long enought for big sleeping bag systems (230cm+ protected by membrana sleeping bags system for very cold polar weather) safe under your protected dome u can take ur time and put the grounds and the quiet dry inner tent...a pure pleasure...you should have enought space to put all ur equipment inside the tent and u can even cook in it if u're trained to start in a safe way a multifuel stove(don't put the fire at ur vault! also true if u like to smoke brown or green things!). what to say? good for very hot/cold/wet/dry/windy weather a "home-on-the-back" for "walkers-on-earth" a bit expensive (especially for those who earns less than half a euro a day...I regret it and I will do my best to change that injustice..) but a good product for those who likes to be free to go everywhere, see and be the witnesses of what beautifull treasures (physical but also human, spiritual) could still be saved on our planet...a pure precious himalayan stone made to fight even the catabatic winds of the south pole...

As a Norwegian flyfisherman, wildlife explorist and photographer I have spent a lot of time hiking in the mountains. Summer as well as winter. One of the most important factors for ejoyng nature is comfort. Svalbar is comfort. Knowing that my tent will stand in all kind of weather and keep me dry is comfort. The solution with dome and tunnel in one is fantastic. It's probably the best winter tent available.
