I used to do a lot of hiking in my teens and twenties and swore by Herman Survivors. As an adult tried many different kinds of work boots mainly for price. Didn't have much luck with the others and went back to Hermans. To find out these are not the Hermans of yesteryear. These things are garbage! They are 9 mos. old and the sole split right up to the leather! Maybe Timberland WANTS MY BUSINESS!!!!
