Hello, I just purchased my 2nd pair of Herman Survivors the Commander Duty boot. I work in law enforcement and stand on my feet a lot, at one post guarding MAT platforms in all types of weather from sun to rain to 8 to 10 inches of snow.

I have found these boots to be the most comfortable light weight boot for the price, my feet never get wet and stay fairly warm in -30 weather, even though my feet do sweat in the boot the new moisture wicking works well and my feet have never smelled nor has the boot. My last pair lasted 1 1/2 years and are still in ok shape but it was time for a new pair. I wear them on 12 to 16 hour shifts some 8 hour shifts if we are not busy and they have stood up to everything I have thrown at them.

I am also part of the ERT which is like SWAT and this boot beats Bates in feel comfort and price. The only downside is my old pair is just now starting to separate in a couple of small spots but that's not bad for 1 1/2 years.

If you're looking for a duty boot go to Wal-Mart and try a pair for $38. I don't think you will be disappointed. I wasn't.
