User Review: Herman Men's Survivor

Rating: rated 0.5 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: $125

Summary

Based on airborne military experience with jump boots, bought Hermans in 2006; have logged about 25 miles on 'em on concrete floors and occasionally in the woods. These "boots" are 100% pure junk. The soles disintegrated in addition to coming unglued.

The English language does not have a sufficient number of expressions of disgust with which to address this level of abysmal quality to adequately warn anyone even remotely thinking about buying Herman's. Ghastly, dreadful... Shr Leung

Cons

  • Now, the biggest "con" is using the name of a previously respected product.

Sold under the former respected name of Hermans, this pair of boots exhibited miserable quality in terms of quality components and craftsmanship.

  1. The soles: a rubber-like substance disintegrated into little pieces of flexible particles...like a dried sponge that falls apart.
  2. Sewing: an undersized, low-strength thread that fell apart at the stress points.
  3. "Bumps" formed under the foot-pad inside = extremely uncomfortable and not fixable.
