I really don't know what's wrong with some of these people's feet, they must be deformed. I've owned a pair of steel-toed Survivors for the pst 10 years, had them re-soled 4 years ago and they are very comfortable and take a shine real well. Never had any splits, or other workmanship problems. Evern got my foot stuck in a packaging machine and if I didn't have the steel toes on I would have lost the whole end of my foot. Can't remember EVER buying a better pair of boots at any price. I've tried more expensive ones that don't last half as long as these babies do. I'm going to buy another pair to put in the closet in case these Whiners cause them to go out of business. Best damn boot I ever owned...period.
