I bought two pair of Herman Survivors in 1985, while stationed in Germany. They have seen the harshest conditions a person can imagine. Hot desert, snowy mountains, lava fields in Hawaii to swamps in Georgia, Florida and N. Carolina. Sadly, they've finally seen their better days. I would love to find the same boots available locally. They were the best boots I have ever owned.
