I bought a pair of Herman Survivor boots in the 1970s and had them for over 20 years. They were quality back then. I have been buying the Commander style boot for work and I have had to return several pairs because of defects. The back of the boot tears open, also the bottoms wear out in about three months. The quality is gone, they're junk now.
