User Review: Herman Survivor
Rating: ![]()
Materials: Gore-tex
Use: mixed outdoor stuff
Price Paid: $0
My uncle gave me these boots (Herman Survivor Commanders) when he bought a size too big about a year and a half ago. I am a Boy Scout and do lots and lots of backpacking and camping. I have probably hiked around 300 miles in these and not only are they comfortable but they keep my feet warm and dry.
I have hiked in the snow in these, and I have hiked in the New Mexico desert with a heavy backpack (50 lbs) in these. They are very waterproof as I can walk all the way up to the top (about 6 inches) in water, and not have any water get in. They also support my ankles really well since they come up above my ankle, which also improves the comfort.
