I am a volunteer firefighter in sw Texas. We had a large brush fire on a mountainside near Alpine, Texas. I went to it with an old pair of boots I'd purchased at walmart for fire school a year before. The old boots nearly destroyed my feet. I'm a diabetic so this is very important. Next day I purchased a new pair of Hermann 8" steel toe boots at the walmart in Pecos, Texas. I was putting the laces in them at home when the fire alarm went off again. I wore them to the fire (not broken in), and was in an all-night long fire operation that was intense.
These boots have served me well for the past four months. They are the most comfortable I've ever had, providing excellent ankle support in rough terrain. I highly recommend them to any diabetic person who has concerns about foot care. These are the best money can buy. Thank you.
